yeah, i know (we all know), but even compressed data has to be stored and can take up a big amount of space. In the end, a title like Mass effect has to make some consessions to fit on a DVD.. it could very well be that they downgrade certain textures to make the framerate better, etc.. (judging froom the inconsistant quality of graphics in that game). Compressed does not mean you can use an infinite amount of space.
The main problem with compressing data is that is needs to be uncompressed, anyway, if blu ray is such a huge advantage why do the textures in the ps3 version of burnout Paradise look crap also? And for the sake of it i might add that burnout Paradise sucks, what happened to the good old burnout?
