Ok, so I haven't got this to work yet. Can some one please list the exact settings of the files you have working?

I'm not using PSPvideo9, so please don't post the instructions for that, I would prefer just the following information.

Video Codec, Resolution, FPS, kbps

Audio Codec, frequency, kbps

To be honest...

Motorstorm, and prolly Heavenly Sword. The other IPs like MGS and Final Fantasy are all and good, but I want something brand new.

Also, Blu-rays. If you have a HDTV, theres no reason to watch upscaled DVDs. Both HD-DVD and Blu-ray are far superior in every single way and honestly, I can't watch a 480i/p movie or game anymore for extended periods of time. It makes me woozy. Seriously, everything looks blurry and jittery. Plus, I can find almost every HD movie for 20 bucks if I shop around. Suncoast, FYE, etc. still charge 25 bucks for certain SD DVDs.

Once you go high def... hehehe.

The game is what ever you want it to be. You could spend hundreds of hours just exploring, building up experience getting the best weapons like an MMO, or you can try and complete the story and side quests. There's alot to do. If you liked it for 3 hours, you'll prolly like it for alot longer.  I spent 192 hours on the 360 version over the course of the last year and never finished the main quest or joined the fighters or mages guild.

Blurays: 1080i/p or 480 i/p only, no exceptions

Video from HDD, Memory Stick, etc: 720 is supported

Right now the PS3 will only play media in it's native resolutions. A software scaler is definately possible, even if the system lacks a hardware scaler, which has yet to be determined.

I have a RP HDTV that is LCD based. All LCDs are progressive by nature, so 1080i isn't as bad as it could be. Still not 1080p or 720p but closer than if you are watching on a CRT or plasma.

^^ And you posting some wild speculation, that absolutely won't come true, for a literally unlimited number of reason, does not spawn more fanboys how? You're just gonna get Lemmings in here making jokes and bringing it up later, with huge generalizations saying "Remember when the cows said in 6 months?!?!?!"

If you own all three, you should know by now neither the 360 or the PS3 are head and shoulders above the other. It's up to the developers to out do the other consoles offerings than the hardware. The 360 has more top rated games, and it's been out longer. So bringing up any comment about the size or quality of it's library will get you flamed. You should also know that 600 dollars is one of the biggest factors as to why it's not decimating the Wii and the 360. There's no way it's going to drop into the affordable range for at least another 2 years.

I believe the PS3 will come out on top in the end too, but not anytime soon, and certainly not while it's 600 bucks.

You do know it's not big enough to wear. You'd be lucky to fit it on your fist let alone your head.

This is exactly what got cows in trouble in the first place. If your smart, you won't hype anything. Just shut up about the future, and play the games you like on your PS3. Then if the system does all the things you hope and dominates the market, you can sit back and smuggly type... I told you so.

If you shut up now, when MGS4 comes out and scores AAA, no one will be able to say a peep. But if it only scores AA, you'll never hear the end of it. You fanboys just create more fanboys!!!

I didn't agree with the review so much. I think alot of people are put off by F1 racing here in the US, so their views are alittle skewed. I think it MotoGP can score in the 8's then F1 should have been there too.

Regardless, if you like the techincal racing of F1, the game is AAA. It will never be considered in the ranks of GT or PGR by the majority of gamers, but for what it is, it's an excellent game.

Half Life 2. Easily. It was everything a sequel should be and a benchmark for computer gaming.

Farcry was an amazing first effort, Crysis looks to build upon it as HL2 did for it's origional.

Doom 3 was an amazing experience, worth one play through and zero time for the multiplayer.

Killzone was too hyped for what it was. I liked it, but I really didn't buy into it like other people. It was a solid FPS.

Halo 2 was probibly the biggest let down out of them all for me. It really didn't bring anything new to the table in single player, except dual wield. Playing as the covenant was not fun. I want Master Chief or no body. Certainly better than Killzone, and alot of other FPSs but it sold well because of Halo 1, not because it was the best game ever. Multiplayer was excellent, but not quite up to Counter Strike level of awesome.

All I know is on the day they discontinure UMDs and stores have clearences for less than 5 bucks a piece, I'm taking 100 dollars out of the bank and snagging up every movie I ever wanted. The quality and selection was superb.

UMD failed because of the price. If the movies were less than 10 bucks, I would have bought them regularly. But now you can get a 4GB MSProDuo for 60 bucks and just rip DVDs to it.
