the first cause of the first cause of the first cause.....

what is the cause of the universe? probably the big bang. what caused that? vacuum fluctuations.

what is this vacuum fluctuation idea?

well basically its this phenomena where a light particle becomes a heavier particle. particles just appearing in space and violating the law of conservation of energy, and then just dissappearing. This has been observed in laboratoriessome people would say this is what created our universe. a particle appeard out of nothing, but for some odd reason did not vanish back into non-existence, and it kept getting more massive and then stopped getting more massive, which really does violate the law of conservation of energy.

so, our universe just appeared out of nothing?

that's the stupidest thing Ive ever heard

what was the first cause of the first cause of the first cause? well, this thing has to be infinite. you may be asking why this thing has to be infinite. it has to be infinite because it was the cause and origin of everything. an atheist will probably tell you, "WELL, WE DONT KNOW!!!", but regardless, it has to be infinite.it cannot have just appeared out of nothingness.

to atheists, what is this first cause? It has to be something in nature. this natural thing has to be infinite. but, there's a problem. we know for certain the universe is not infinite. Einsteins theory of general relativity proves this to be impossible.

so nature is not infinite. but, what about parallel universes? of course, in a natural world where there are an infinite amount of parallel universes, nature can indeed be infinite.

however, there is a problem with this idea of parallel universes. there is no evidenceof any kind of parallel universes.

an atheist will probably say, "I dont believe in parallel universes", I just explained why this is an implication of atheism.

If you've read my article, you've probably realized that atheism is based on faith just as much as theism

now, I dont know the origin of the universe. for all I know it really could be a flying spaghetti monster, but all im trying to say that neither side has any more validity because this post should have dashed away any idea that atheism is based on empricism

I guess i'll stay a christian

If there is no god, then guess how much meaning you have? that's right, NONE AT ALL. you have absolutely no reason for existing. The universe has no meaning whatsoever. It has no reason for existing. you, your friends, your family, your country, your cares, they dont mean ****.

how does that make you feel?

I think Im becoming an atheist

Lately, Ive been pondering the existence of God (namely, whether it is true or not)

I have had some questions, but coulden't be answered by christians.

1. Why do bad things happen to good people? Its a simple question. if people are good, then shoulden't god bring good fortune their way? It seems more like tragedy just strikes people so randomly there just coulden't possibly be a force guiding it

2. why do good things happen to bad people? Another simple question. If you are bad, then shoulden't God bring bad fortune your way? again, fortune just seems to strike people so randomly, there couldent possibly be some guiding force behind it

3. Why are so many infants suffering so horribly throughout this world? are the infants sinners in Gods eyes? I sure hope not:( If you look at most suffering throughout the world, you can say most of it is because of man's wickedness. But what about suffering where no person is at fault, like the 2 year old child with leukemia. One postulate of christianity is that everything that happens is all part of God's decree. Therefore, God is torturing babies with diseases. I cannot begin to concieve of a justification for this horrible act which God just lets happen, or causes to happen. Its as if God just sits idly by and lets these innocent people suffer

4. why doesn't god heal amputees? he heals people of cancer, viruses, but not amputees? something just isn'tright here. Is god ignoring amputees?

5. Why do some people pray to other gods and be healed?

6. Humans have evolved some 200,000 years ago. if you examine every other religion, you quickly realize that it was INVENTED by man to do 2 things. 1: explain the natural world around them, and 2: control people and justify bigotry. Have you read the bible? there is quite a bit of bigotry in there. This is how it might have went. Person A: "I hate gay people!!!" Person B: "well, that's not very nice or logical" Person A: "but my God says that it is right to stone them to death!" Person B: "Oh, now that makes perfect sense"

When it boils down to it, there is no reason to assume that Judaism is AT ALL different from the rest of the religions of the ancient world

7. The best case for atheism: no evidence(not just scientific)of a God has EVER been found. The burden of proof is always on the positive advocate. the default position therefore is that god does not exist but is just a made up fantasy (the evidence I put forth supports this conclusion)

why creationism is a crock

I'll rant on about young earth creationism

Ive been a young earth creationist for quite a long time. but, recently, I realized that young earth creationism is a complete load of BS. there are many reasons why

#1: radiometric dating proves that the earth is not 6000 years old

#2: the speed of light is always constant. C-decay has never been observed

#3: there is no real evidence that the earth is 6000 years old.

#4: the flood story is a myth. no evidence of it has ever been found, and there is no evidence that it is even possible

#5: Evolution is an extremely well established scientific theory. To this date, no evidence has been found that refutes the theory of evolution
