@megatronx2 Still don't see it. Given your specs, I searched it all at newegg and sorted it lowest to highest, took the cheapest stuff, and still came up with almost $700. It's the OS and Office that drive the price up mainly.

Why would they need to cut down the number of characters on-screen in the PS3 version? I remember when Heavenly Sword came out in 2007 it was touted as being capable of displaying 100+ characters on-screen at once. Surely 6 years later they could find a way to get even more??

@megatronx2 @mikemaj82 It's great for business needs and graphics artists. Other than that, I would never have one in my home if I weren't a graphic designer.

@bunchanumbers @mikemaj82 But I'd have to wait until Black Friday....there are a lot of great sales on pre-built computers on Black Friday as well....

My point is there are way more PC users out there who are using them for business needs, not gaming needs. For that you're not gonna waste your time building a PC with all these high-end parts when you can just go to staples or somewhere else and get a basic prebuilt one for $300. Most companies get discounts with places like Staples or Office Depot anyway.

It's apparent 99% of the comments that building your own PC costs less are talking strictly about gaming PCs.

I've priced an average everyday system and after selecting just the processor, motherboard, tower shell, RAM, hard-drive, and basic graphics card, I was already at $740..not even including the power supply and CD drive, AND operating system. I got my HP All-in-one Touchsmart which is more than what I need for around $550 at best buy 2 years ago.

@sune_Gem Almost everyone already has a car too, but you don't see auto manufacturers suffering or shipping less, and that's a much bigger investment than a PC.

@GSGuy321 It's not just consumers though. Do you realize how many businesses there are in the world and how many PCs they purchase?

That's because people are brainwashed by Apple and are buying more Macs.
