Looks like someone doesn't know what a ponzi scheme is. Maybe someone should start a dictionary crowdfunding for zintarr.

How can I be scammed if I'm already having fun with the alpha? It's quite buggy and barebones, yet it still offers me something no other game offers. You should actually start looking at what has already been developed.

Just a question of perspective. I don't give a crap about GTA V (boring), and the small already-playable part of Star Citizen is actually quite exciting. Also, I have to laugh at your hypocrisy. How long did Rockstar take to develop GTA V and show a "worthwile product"? No idea? Yeah, I guessed so. Internet rednecks are quite predictable.

I literally gave you a list of things that have been done separately, but never all together. And that's JUST for what's already available! WHat's being developed is even more impressive. You're trying too hard, just let it go.

Not ambitious, eh? What a load of bs. Please, enlighten us : what other games allow me to do what Star Citizen is already doing, and what it's shooting for?

Right now I can walk through a station, get aboard a multicrew ship with local grid physics, take off with my buddies, travel to nearby moons / space stations / asteroids and get involved in combat with AI, other players, or enjoy missions, board other ships and steal them, get off my ship to do some FPS on a station, EVA, etc... All this at a level of fidelity that shames Elite, Kerbal, EVE or any other space game.

No, Elite doesn't let you do all that. And this is just bare-bones Star Citizen. Also, most big AAA projects don't let you see anything of the game after 3 years, so saying they should be showing much more by now is ignorant.

People like you are starting to sound like broken records. Some of us are actually already enjoying this alpha, so we know for a fact that what you say is pure misinformation.

Oh, look, so now it's just a hypothesis. Except, of course, when you state it as fact, which you did. Also, I have trouble figuring what could be more immature in an argument than calling people who disagree with you 15 year old kids. Then again, it's not like you ever had a semblance of a point to make. Seems I'm done here, thanks for making a fool of yourself and providing midly funny entertainment. I will go back to backing whichever game I want, with money well earned ;)

Do you realize that all those ships can be earned in-game, and that the backers are aware of it and actually accept it? That's the whole point, actually. We donate money to CIG, because we want a game like this, which there is no equivalent of. CIG thanks us by giving us some cool in-game stuff, that we can choose to use (or not, as in my case I want to start off in the persistent universe with an Aurora, the cheapest ship.) People who don't want to spend that much, can jsut wiat for the game to release and pay a normal price. Everybody wins... Except publishers, of course, and whiners, but screw them.

Why? They've come a long way already. They have pulled off some of the hardest aspects already, especially the modifications of the CryEngine that allow them to create huge maps and local physics grids. ANd since they started building up their studios and hiring people exactly 3 years ago, they seem to be progressing at the same speed as most big MMOs out there.

Apparently he never heard of REC (Arena Commander in-game credits that let you rent anything). Seems like you "RECed" him ^^

Love how you make so much stuff up. CR said from the start that he hated grind. Backers perfectly understand and accept that the expensive ships will be obtainable in game, without an impossible grind. Actually, many (like me) want to start with the least expensive ship and progress "normally", because that's what interests us in the first place. Using the expensive ones from the start wouldn't be a "win" I'd have paid for, it would actually make me lose on some fun game time.

Cute how you choose to ignore facts, though. Sounds like for some reason, you NEED this game to fail. Now that it's shaping like a great game with Alpha 2.1, you're getting hysterical.
