powerincarnate, thanks for the wall of text. Who the heck cares about consoles, this is a PC article. Most people enjoy upgrading their rigs, or building a new one, and if someone works for a living, cost is a mute point. Period.

A new PC with all the bells and whistles is $2000 + The new line of consoles will do great for likely the next 5 years. (Play all the new games) A new PC will do for 2 years, then its time for upgrades $$$ Thats just my opinion... Tierd of PC - $$$ - Blink and your obsolete." I built my rig over three years ago for around $1100.00, only upgrading my video card a few months ago, which after I sold my old one, cost me a total of 40 bucks. So, $1140 for going on 4 years is pretty sweet, especially since I can run my games at above medium quality, high quality in some cases. IT DOES NOT COST 2000 DOLLARS FOR A NEW PC! A LITTLE READING AND UNDERSTANDING OF TECHNOLOGY AND YOUR SET. ALSO, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO UPGRADE EVERY TWO YEARS. Stop spreading misinformation. Not to mention, I enjoy upgrading, tweaking, and researching components for my rig, it's a hobby.
Loonstar, I know, since then we've had plenty of AAA FPS's that far exceed anything that Halo brings to the table. I had Halo for Xbox, but in no way was I waiting around for it on the PC. Especially with games like HL2, BF2, Doom 3, FarCry, UT04 all hitting store shelves back then. But, to some people, Halo is God, for some unknown reason.
I can't wait until modders get their hands on it and release a texture mod that allows for better visuals than what Halo 3 has to offer...I can hear the bioching already ..... :)
