thanks very much, well for now I can't afford an 8800, so I am getting a ati x1950. Since this board has SLI (nvidia) will it be able to support this ati card?

ok lets see here. PCI-E 2.0 wouldn't that require a different motherboard? case looks pretty good, and the ram isnt the right type (mine needs ddr2 800). Ya I'll probably go with xp for better performance. And I just now noticed this but I should of posted this in PC Hardware sorry.

total: $395

That just leaves the case, which i want it to be cheap looks relativly nice and have a psu with it. And the video card. I dream of 8800s but with my price range i dont think so. So i was wondering what the next best thing is, also any other suggestions to something better would be nice. Thank you.

So I don't have enough money for an 8800 now, but I will get it later. So what is the video card that is next best thing? Under $150? I was thinking a 8600 or a ati x1950. Any other suggestions?

Looking to buy a new pc, I already have monitor, keyboard, speakers etc.. But I just want a good gaming pc for $500. Dreaming of an 8800, but my price range kind of destroys that dream. Unless one of you know of a good site or other suggestions. Thank you!
