[QUOTE="RobertBowen"]

And here is a list of SecuROM 7.xx protected games I've managed to compile from around the net. Note: I do not think all of these install hidden directories etc., on your PC - some just use SecuROM as a simple disk check without installing anything, but don't ask me which games do what because I'm not sure.

Games Protected by SecuROM 7.xx

Advent Rising
ARMA: Armed Assault
Battlestations Midway
Bioshock
Bloodrayne 2
Boiling Point: Road To Hell
Broken Sword: The Angel of Death
Broken Sword 4
Caesar IV
Call Of Juarez
Clive Barker's Jericho
Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
Commandos: Strike Force
Company of Heroes (Gold)
Constantine
Crashday
Crime Life: Gang Wars
Crysis
Dark Messiah Of Might & Magic
Destination: Treasure Island
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey
Driver (4)
Driver (4): Parallel Lines
El Matador
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: Shivering Isles
Empire Earth 2: The Art Of Supremacy
Empire Earth 3
F.E.A.R.
Far Cry 2
Fifa 2008
Frontlines: Fuel of War
Gears Of War PC
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
Gothic 2: Night Of The Raven (expansion)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
GTR 2
Guitar Hero III
Happy Feet
Heroes Of Might & Magic V: Hammers Of Fate
Heroes Of The Pacific
Hitman: Blood Money
Hoyle Card Games
Jade Empire: Special Edition
Juiced
Lego Indiana Jones
Lego Star Wars
Lego Star Wars II
Madden NFL 08
Mass Effect PC
Medal Of Honor: Airborne
Monopoly: Here And Now
Moto GP URT 3
Myst V – End Of Ages
Need For Speed: Pro Street
Neverwinter Nights 2
Prey
Pro Evolution Soccer 6
Project Snowblind
Psychonauts
Rainbow Six: Vegas
Rogue Trooper
Roller Coaster Tycoon 3: Expansion
Serious Sam 2
Sid Meier's Railroads
Silent Hunter: Wolves Of The Pacific
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Spore
Stacked Poker
Star Wars: Battlefront 2
Star Wars: Empire At War
Stronghold 2
Stronghold Legends
Stubbs The Zombie
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl
Supreme Commander
The Da Vinci Code
The Guild 2
The Matrix: Path Of Neo
Tomb Raider: Anniversary
Tomb Raider: Legend
Total Overdose
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty
Vietcong 2
Warhammer 40,000: DoW: Dark Crusade
Warhammer 40,000: DoW: Winter Assault
Warhammer 40,000: DoW: Soulstorm
World In Conflict

So keep in mind that if you have any of these games installed, next time you run them after removing SecuROM they may either not work, or they may reinstall SecuROM 7.xx on your PC.

Makari

That's a good list and a good idea, yeah - couple more that already do / will use SecuROM7: - Company of Heroes has SecuROM in general, not just the Gold edition. They added it in one of the patches before Opposing Fronts released. - The Sims 2 did the same thing - one of the later expansion/patches added it in a while ago, not sure which one. - Sacred 2 - Overlord - Command & Conquer 3 - Red Alert 3 - Hellgate: London (SP exe) - King's Bounty: The Legend - Civilization 4: Colonization

Do/will these games still have SecuROM if they are purchased and downloaded through the steam client?

So basically to be honest I'm curious to find out whether these "new" characters are actually going to be new or if they will just hold off on putting in existing characters into the first release. It seems like they have the multiplayer completely done including tons of new units. So it seems like 2 expansions with new characters could either eventually fill out the game or just overload it and make it cumbersome.

Sigh, so basically that means that yes...in order to keep up to date with the multiplayer aspect you will have to purchase all 3 games. *Sags head in dissapointment at Blizz*

Also, bioshock for pc, way better looking and more fun to play. Check it out.

Only thing I am preordering is Left 4 Dead and I will probally be getting Fallout 3 if Bethesda can make it a good shooter with rpg elements. As far as pc gaming goes I think it is doing better than ever, more of the money hungry devs are leaving the platform, leaving the companies who care about it and produce good games. Whiteblade999

Cept for Blizz

Okay, i know this is a pretty old topic but im fishing for some information. Does anyone know anything about pro-mod in relation to it even being a possibility anymore? This may have already been discussed and a link to the topic would be great. Thank you!

Well based on your leanings and my personal experience (extensively played WoW and Guildwars) i recommend going ahead and getting GW. There are a few expansions so in order to get up to date im not sure how it would work (only played the first 2). However, i think for your pick and and play style it is the best choice. There is little content that takes more than a couple of hours to do at a time. WoW can get addicting and you may find yourself spending more time on it than you wanted just because it requires you to in order to get the most out of the game.

As a second note, Guild Wars II is expected in the not too distant future. This game will tackle many of the qualms such as not being free-form and people not liking the click to move style. Check out this http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_2 for info about the sequel.

Good luck and i hope you find what your looking for!

Thank you for that link and for your input. However, even in that interivew, most of the questions I raised were answered with vagaries. Sometimes I wish video game developers could break from the norms and just completely inform us all. Sigh.
