@WeWerePirates @mled I guess they didn't bother with programming a specific sound system for the PC version, instead they did a quick and cheap port. I still have the FFVII PC version with the fan FFVIIMusic and the new overworld character models, and it was HARD to get it running!

FF X-2 had great gameplay!

...but the story sucked so hard...

@zanelli @WeWerePirates @danmas6 Actually WeWerePirates is right, the PC midi format cannot replicate the Final Fantasy VII PSX sound fonts. There is a workaround made by fans involving OGG, and it sound like the original PSX version, but the truth is that Square-Enix should have fixed that themselves. The music sound completely different on the PC version.

...and still they managed to glitch the game in E3, they're still working on it, I'll give them that and the game is far from finished.

Having more teams working on a single project is actually harder to manage than smaller and fewer teams.
