I have a e6300 @ 1.86 GHz, ati 3870, DG965WH mb, 3 GB 667MHz RAM. Is my processor bottle necking my graphics card? I am wondering if overclocking would be beneficial and how much? Would I need a something other than stock cooling that came with it? Is it safe?

well. how safe is overclocking? b/c the max temp is 60.1 C. When i play games, like COD4, Crysis, GRID, etc. it heats up to about 52-53ish. I have the heat sink that came with it. Its simple w/ a fan.

I'm looking to get a gtx 280. i currently have an Antec 500W Earthwatts PSU. Is this enough? I know the minimum is 550W on nvidia's website. My rig is E6300 @ 1.86 GHz, 3 gb DDR2 667MHz, Intel DG965WH MB. Would the 500W cut it?

My cpu fan speed is about 925 rpm. And its the fan/heatsink that came with the cpu (e6320). Is this too low? Is there a way to control it? I can see the speed by using Intel Utilities 3. I have an intel dg965wh MB. I could use some help, thank you.

just so you guys know. i was using core temp but then found that is was actually showing 10 degrees hotter than the intel program. And theres no dust in the machine. And when i see that 60.1 C is the max temp? what exactly are they saying?
