[QUOTE="bc1391"]This thread is biased, all these catagories are subjective.m_machine024True.
These are only my opinions. :| I never stated it as fact.
TC are bias and why did you made this into a threadTnasty11
I am not biased. I have both a PSP and a DS. The PSP had a great '06 year with MGS and R & C, but its '07 and '08 lineups suck compared to the DS'. In fact, it seems most develops have abandoned the PSP in favor of the DS.
I lol'd at this thread.
Wait, what? TC was trying to be serious? :| Sorry, but Legend of Zelda + Ninja Gaiden + Dragon Quest IX >>>>>>>> Any PSP game (even GoW)
Tales of the world and god of war psp will own any game on that list.xjet039
Dragon Quest IX >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tales of the World
Ninja Gaiden + Legend of Zelda >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> God of War
PSP should take the shooter catagory by default.Sig12047
No big PSP shooters have been announced yet. MGS and SOCOM have already been released. Also, do you understand how difficult it is to play FPS games with that sh**** analog?
Action and/or Adventure
DS
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword
Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
PSP
God of War PSP
Winner: DS. God of War on the PS2 was fun, but it's nothing compared to either Ninja Gaiden (the best action/adventure game on the Xbox) or Legend of Zelda (the best action/adventure game on the GC)
RPG
DS
Dragon Quest IX
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Rings of Fate
Final Fantasy Tactics A2
Final Fantasy XII: Revanant Wings
Final Fantasy IV DS
Tale of the Tempest
It's a Wonderful World
Disagea DS
PSP
Final Fantasy Crisis Core
Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy Dissidia
Disagaea PSP
Winner: DS. Crisis Core and Dissidia look promising, but with Squeenix sequels like DQ9 and new IP's like It's A Wonderful World, the DS lineup slaughters the PSP's.
Platformers
DS
Megaman ZX Advent
Megaman ZX
Sonic Adventures 2
PSP
None (There are 2 or 3 upcoming PSP platformers, but none of them are hyped)
Winner: DS. By default. The DS has a few hyped platformers, but the PSP has none.
Fighting
DS
King of Fighters DS
Jump Ultimate Stars
PSP
King of Fighters PSP
Winner: DS. Both line ups are weak, but the DS slightly beats the PSP with Jump Ultimate Stars. PSP needs another Tekken game if it has any chance at beating the DS in the fighting genre.
Shooters
DS
Brothers in Arms DS
Dementium: The Ward
Geometry Wars DS
PSP
Star Wars Battlefront
Syphon Filter: Login's Shadow
Winner: Tie, both have mediocre lineups
Music
DS
Taiko Drum Master
Won't You Listen to Classical Music on Your DS (A casual music game made by Squeenix. Sorry Squeenix fans, but no metrosexual emos in this game!)
Ouedan 2
PSP
PaRappa PSP
Winner: DS. By a long shot. New IP's and sequals >>>>>>>> a port of a PS1 game
OVERALL (excluding the tie):
DS: 5
PSP: ZERO
Your thoughts????
Ok, I know I'm still considered a big fakeboy, and I apologize for spamming this topic trying to defend myself, but this is on track. Xaosll has contributed to system wars lore. I just owned him, and he still wouldn't accept it. It is small ownage and a somewhat small topic, but still somewhat amusing. It is in regards to Secret of Mana for SNES. He said Secret of Mana NEVER released in the US for SNES and then tried to dodge ownage by talking about the Japanese versions of Mana games.

Update: Now he's claiming that he meant the Secret of Mana series in Japan, and not Secret of Mana in US. Sheesh! Now, if he REALLY means that, then why not use the JAPANESE names for the Mana games? Why didn't he mention that he was talking about the series as a whole in the 1st place? He said "The Secret of Mana never released to the US for the SNES, is probably one of the best RPG's i've played." That is word for word. How the heck am I supposed to interpret that other than him saying that Secret of Mana never came to US?
