Yeah, looks like you are looking for a machanical keyboard; durable and no media keys sounds about right :)

Nameless, I might be interested in one of those model M's if the OP isn't, maybe PM me. *sorry for the hijack

I have a steelseries Kinzu that I like, but I'm a lefty so I hate most mice with extra buttons or a curve to them. Its nice and simple and was only like $35.

Sounds good so far. I would just add that you will need to go either 4 or 8gb of ram, 6gb is triple channel and 1155 mobos only support dual channel (2x2gb or 2x4gb or 4x2gb).

Also SLI gtx 460's will run on a 650W psu just fine so depending on what you have now you may be good.

4.2ghz with the stock cooler and no bump in vcore is pretty good. You should have a great OC when you decide to install you hyper 212.

80c is the max you want to see in IBT. Next you should download Prime95 and let it run for a good 12 hours overnight to make sure your OC is stable. After that you should be good to go.

60gb is fine for a dedicated OS drive. You should have about 25-27gb free after win 7 is on there.

If you are buying new I would get atleast a 21.5" 1080p monitor. If you are on a really tight budget, get a used dell 19" off craigslist for like $45-50.

you might have to go into nvidia control panel and set to dual monitor display, however newer cards like that usually automaticlly detect a 2nd monitor.

Don't break them off, but you can bend them a little to get the mobo to seat right.

I had to bend the little metal tab that slid into my ethernet port to get my mobo to fit right, no harm done.

Not sure if you've considered a machanical keyboard, but steelseries is having a 30% off sale which bring their 6gv2 down to around $65. I've had one for about a year and a half and its been great.
