Even beyond what has already been said in this thread. An 8.5 is a really high score. Its started to seem for a while that EVERY game was getting a 9+ score. What is that? How am I to tell what games are supposed to be high quality if they are all scored at "perfect"? I like how Gamespot has begun to scale back their ranking system to match with how games actually are. Every game has flaws and places to improve.

I am heading to the game store in a few hours to pick up my copy of Mass Effect. Im going to love it. And I also dont give a crap that Gamespot didnt give it a perfect 10.

If I were to be forced to choose I would go with Mass Effect; however, I intend getting both of them sooner or later as I dont intend to miss out on either experience!

You might want to give the free trial of EVE a try. It doesnt have much story, but has an amazing economy, industry/mining, and in my opinion the most versatile PvP system of any MMORPG. It takes a bit of patience to build skills up and to get into the game, but it can be really fun if you tough through the learning curve.

Are they getting easier or are they staying the same and you're just becoming a better gamer? I reloaded Starcraft and Warcraft 2 back on my PC not long ago to replay them. I breezed through them although I remember them being much more difficult in the past...

Keep in mind that most games do have difficulty settings. Want a harder play through? Make your first time playing set on above average difficulty so you dont know all the tricks of the game before it gets a bit challenging.

For all anyone knows it could just sound a bit like him. A good number of people have similar voices and the quality of that voice coming through coms is pretty shaky.

PS: Any insults to Seth Green are insults to Family Guy...and you dont want to insult Family Guy! :P

Im on my 3rd one already and it just broke down and MS is refusing to fix it anymore!! This is so much crap! They keep saying things like "You cant play your 360 in the bath" and "cooking greasy burgers on your George Forman and then pouring the grease inside the 360 will ruin it."

In all seriousness, yes the 360 has had some technical problems and MS has done a lot to insure customer satisfaction and the problem is pretty much stamped out of ALL of the 360 systems now (not just Elite). In truth, a lot of the huge problem was a few people that mistreated their boxes and hyped the whole thing up so much that everyone bought it. Almost every responsible 360 owner hasnt had too much trouble with their purchase.

You'll be just fine getting any of the 360s and if something does go wrong MS will work quickly to make it right for you.

I hope you're smart enough not to risk your college education by hacking the schools systems to be able to play games...

Your best and safest bet by far is make friends with some upperclassmen living in apartments and houses. And can hook you up with "beverages"...

Id personally say that as busy as you sound right now, wait it out. You have a good chance of regreting selling off games later on, and if you are super busy now you wont get much time to play ANY games new or old. So, wait it out till you get some more free time. At that point prices may have dropped, reviews will tell you what ended up being the absolute best and must have games, and you'll still have the games you enjoy now.

The good games about to arrive arent going anywhere, theyll be here in 6 months.

Might want to check out the writers for the up and coming Mass Effect. And their published works. This RPG might be whats needed to influence other companies to aim high for storylines.
