6 months ago I was very jealous looking at this game because it wasn't coming to the One, and I thought the game looked fantastic. Now Elite Dangerous is out so I'm no longer jealous - my need to roam the universe has been sated - but I still think NMS looks like a great game. It'll be tricky though...sometimes I can fly around for an hour in ED doing nothing and think "what was I doing again?" which is fine because it looks tremendous - but in a few months time I might start thinking there's not enough to do...

NMS needs to beware of that.

But, like I said, this looks like it might be great fun (though not for me because One / PS4).

God yes - hugely hyped about it! Fallout3, although the first RPG I'd ever played was simply the greatest game I've ever played on any console and I've been gaming for more decades than I want to think about. I didn't even know F3 was an RPG when I bought it...saw some clips for it and thought it was a shooter. When I started playing it and saw "hit points" and "action points" I thought "what's this crap?" but persevered and absolutely loved it. Played for about 400 hours over 3 playthroughs. Couldn't really get into NV though probably played that for about 50 hours also before I decided that. Since F4 was announced I've been counting down the days, endlessly telling my wife "only 84 days to go until Fallout!" or "just 37 days left!". She's a bit bored hearing about this now.

I've even taken the Monday after release off work to give myself a few more hours to get into this, and I've never done that before.

I'm not a person who normally gets so hyped about any game - but this one has REALLY got to me.

Come on 10th November!!!

@darktruth007: Can't help thinking you're in a bit of a minority there fella. IMO FO3 was the greatest game I have ever played on any console...and I've had more consoles than I care to remember.

I'm with DrFlynt on this one - I just want to know FO4 exists. I didn't like NV - too many bugs and other problems - it was never as good as FO3, which I spent approx 450 hours on - in just 3 playthroughs. Pretty good value for money there. Skyrim almost filled the hole, but I much prefer nuka cola and plasma rifles than dragons and magic (I'm too old for games with dragons in them!)

Come on Bethesda - ppplllllllleeeeaaassseeeee tell us that FO4 is on its way and will be here later on this year!!!! And please have that "legendary" mode or whatever it was called in NV when you had to constantly drink and eat, to add to "realism" (for want of a better word!).

@waffleboy22: yeah - think I did miss all the early bugs - literally saw about 10 things in the whole of the game that shouldn't have been there. I've started Black flag now - and you're right - it's really good too...but only been playing for about 4 hrs...have a long way to go before the time that i normally get bored of the AC games - something that surprisingly didn't happen with Unity.

@demi0227_basic: That's a hell of a deal. I got mine at Christmas - £230 which included AC Unity and AC black flag. I like it but I'm not blown away - don't think I'm quite as happy with it as I was with the 360 at the same point of ownership (still have the 360 for backwards compatibility but using it less and less now). I don't think there are any MUST BUY games for it. Don't get me wrong - I love Halo and Forza, which is the reason I got the One over the PS4 (that and I really like LIVE!).

I have MCC and love the SP (don't care about the MP as much as the SP, but it's pretty embarrassing they still haven't fixed the MP). Didn't buy Forza 5 as I'm holding out for Project Cars although I have got FH2 which is fun...but not as brilliant as Forza4. GTA is great, Far Cry 4 is inexplicably nowhere near as enjoyable as FC3, although I'm not sure why, but that's all I have...and looking forward all i'm really looking forward to is Project Cars, Wasteland2, ANY news about Fallout4 (FO3 being my favourite game on any console ever).....and that's about it.

I hated TW2, having only got it via Games with Gold, but am edging towards buying TW3 just cos the coverage I've seen of it is pretty impressive...but that's really about it...

Then what? Was the pipeline this sparse with the 360 2 years after it came out? Maybe Mad Max / The Division...

Overall, yes - I'm happy with the One - although there's nothing really to choose between it and the PS4. But, of course, it's a longer term thing - The £200 i spent on my 360 brought me countless hundreds of hours of fun...and I expect the One will too.

@JangoWuzHere: I'd agree with that - but I experienced no such problems with ACU. Obviously I don't have access to the fps figures because I play on the One - but I'd be willing to bet this very rarely hit 20fps, and those few times would have been when there were about 500 NPC's onscreen at the same time. I would think that only happened about 5 or 6 times though. In a 30-ish hr game I think that's acceptable.

Just finished this last night; first AC game I've finished for some years. And I have to say, I really liked it. I think the worst in the series was AC3 - the combat in that game was completely broken imo. I got AC Unity and Black Flag with the One when I got it at Christmas although haven't started BF yet (wasn't a huge fan of the sailing bits in AC3 so have delayed starting it). But Unity was really good. A lot more sneaky stuff that other recent AC games. Some of the missions could last for an hour or so and you had to really work hard to stay hidden. Alright - I didn't find all the rosette things, or all the chests, but I did all the campaign missions and probably 80% of the others - there was plenty of stuff to do. The combat wasn't too easy but was miles better than in earlier AC's.

It was the first AC i have played on the One and the visuals blew me away; it looks absolutely stunning. I had a couple of tiny glitches (like 3 times in the 30-odd hours I played it for, someone shot straight up into the air), and a couple of times the game refused to let me make a tiny jump from 1 part of a roof to another, but nothing more than that. I know this game gets slated everywhere, but I really enjoyed this - it's a solid 8/10 for me. IMO the best AC was Brotherhood, then 1, then Unity.

If you were thinking of getting this but have been scared off by the poor reviews, I'd recommend you try it out...I think you may be very pleasantly surprised.

@Gaming-Planet: Sorry - but I totally disagree. Do you have any idea how much it costs to develop, spec, build, test, sell and promote a new console and a range of games wide enough that you start to earn some money out of the venture? Nor do I - but let's face it, it will be in the billions. Do you really think MS and Sony would go to that massive expense, and then just 5 years after releasing the consoles in question stop supporting them? Everyone knows the consoles themselves are sold at a loss - and the profits come from games, online-presence, merchandise etc, which is why the consoles' life spans are generally pretty long, so they can maximise that profit. MS and PS both made a lot of money out of the 360 and the PS3, because they sold them for so many years. Why would they cut short the lifespan this time?

I was a little disappointed to see, pretty quickly, that the PS4 was a tiny bit more powerful that the One. I knew this before I got my One. I only really got the One because I really like Halo and Forza, and was always impressed with the stability, and capabilities of xbox LIVE! The One and PS4 are both are much less powerful than pc's. So what? You think that wasn't the case when the 360 came out? Or the PS2? It would have been the same then. Graphics / fps...blah, blah, blah....people like consoles as they are easy to just pick up and start playing. It takes about 40 seconds from when you switch it on to start playing a game. Joypads come with it (no awkward software etc), and I won't even mention the constant upgrades to hard- and software. People enjoy that - that's fine - I wouldn't slag anybody off for pc-gaming (I'm not one of those idiots who do), or having a PS4, but I think you're entirely wrong when you say you think they will stop selling / supporting the One and the PS4 just a couple of years from now. The last gen lasted for ~10 years - I really can't see any reason this one would last any less.

Never said they would stop selling. I'm sure they will sell along side their new consoles. Just because the last generation was long does not mean all generations will be the same. Have you see what Sega did to themselves when trying to compete with Nintendo? There were also a ton of other consoles at the time.

The market changes all the time, old statics are irrelevant. They are off with a good start but where are the games?

Yeah - I'll give you that...still waiting for the "killer ap" games we used to see. I love Halo, and think the MCC is a fantastic collection (don't MP much so no particularly bothered about that aspect)...also (but don't shout this), I like AC Unity and GTA5. Forza Horizon 2 is quite fun but limited - but there's literally nothing else I want right now that's out for the One. I'm so desperate for Project Cars and any news re Fallout 4, that i'm thinking of getting TW3 - even though i hated TW2! Don't think the Sony guys are much better off either - though they do have Bloodbourne and can look forward to NMS, which looks fantastic.

Was hoping 2015 would be the great year for games we all need - but we are already 1/3rd of the way through it and not much has really happened to impress.

But I still really don't think the lifespan of the consoles will be much shorter than the last gen. Don't get me wrong - it won't ruin my life if it is - my One cost £230 and included 2 x AC games...if I need to spend that again in 4 years then so be it...But i don't think that will be the case...don't think MS / Sony will have recouped enough of their investment costs of the new gen by then.
