I'mma throw a question out to you OTers.
Is capitalism so deeply flawed that all attempts to ensure the public good are doomed to failure?
WADDUP.
Okay so here's the dealio, I'm going into my next school year soon and the board has decided that everyone in the high school must bring a laptop to school. I do have a laptop currently, a 2006 17" Macbook Pro, but DAMN its too big to lug around school.
I was thinking about picking up either a Macbook or a Macbook Pro 13". I can't decide between the two. I haven't used the new Unibody 2010 White Macbooks but does anybody here own one? I'm familiar with the build quality on the MBP but I'm not sure if the $300 difference is worth it.
I am constantly surrounded by adults who think that videogames have a negative impact. Do any of you here share the same belief? I sure as hell don't, videogames are a HUGE part of my life, I appreciate it and I see it as another form of art.
3.2 GHz to 3.4 GHz would be the absolute max with the stock cooler, imo. You should be able to get to 3.2 w/o changing the voltages. It would also depend on how good the airflow is in your case. If your case doesn't have good airflow I wouldn't even try overclocking. Try running Prime95 or Linx to stress your cpu before overclocking and see what your max temps are. You don't want the temp on any core to get above 85 degrees (celsius). I would suggest getting an aftermarket cooler for any overclocking, though. You don't necessarily have to get an expensive one just one that is better than the stock cooler.jtcraft
Thanks man.
I'll give 3.2 a try.
Nvidia better drop this ish quick so that them 5870s hit $300 a pop :D
