@SurfaceNerd Yeah. the cost of 2 titan pc == cost of 5* PS4. but the powervise PS4*5 > 2 titan pc. If only Sony or MS came up with this incredible idea of SLI like connecting 2 or more consoles into one SuperCharged console. That would be awsome. way better than stupid cloud.

@FrankZoex2 the way they brand it is bullshit. Unless they find a way to miracously stream some elements as with onlive (given player has optical cable connection to ISP) and putting them in 3d environments rendered by your console, cloud is mostly for massive multiplayers or the idea they branded with simcity -- to simulate live environments (where you receive small portions of data only related to area you are in -- like in multiplayer).

other than that - how can it be used to improve graphics is beyond me. Maybe you and Carmack can enlighten us?

For me the cycle goes like this -- I'll play next-gen for next 3-4 years, then I'll give my PC an upgrade, in 6-7 years they will release another gen -- the circle of life

What is the point of keeping games you are not going to play anymore? In EU if you buy something, say an Oracle DB licence, you own it and you can do what ever you like with it, even if Oracle doesn't like it.

So if MS reverses it's policies once again it will be in a lot of trouble in EU (MS already burnt in EU court).

@marlobc and because a lot of gamers are not going upgrade their PC's for next 2-3 years. Shield will fail (I bet it even won't make it to the market) so nVidia is in very little but still trouble.
