[QUOTE="mrjigyfly02790"]

When is the summer sale? And do you have to pay for steam? Obviously I'm a newbie when it comes to PC's sorry guys.

SPYDER0416

1. Summer sale is usually towards the end of June, early July and lasts for a small while. All games get some sort of discount, but every day they offer giant bundles and deals (like all Splinter Cell games 75% off one day, then all Call of Duty games 75% off the next), with some lasting the whole deal (like every Valve game for 80% off or something like that).

2. Steam is completely free, but to prove you aren't a spam bot you can't take a major part in community features or chats or whatever until you have at least one game that cost money on your account. You don't even have to buy it yourself (someone can gift it to you), but Steam is free outside of that barrier of entry.

Ok cool thank you, that works out perfectly considering my new computer should be here right around then. Hopefully before.

Ok thanks a lot guys, and yeah I'm talking about just using them. So once I download them how do I put them into the game?

So I just purchased a gaming computer, I'm new to the PC scene so I have a few questions. I plan on playing around with mods, is there a good website or forum where I can learn the basics? And what Anti Virus should I be using as I'm sssuming downloading mods increases the risk of getting a virus?

Also is the gtx 560 better than the gt 610-630? I wish I could go with the Gtx 670 but I can't afford it. I will be fine with the gtx 560 right?
