Genth’s Pack Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.9) - Welcome to Genth’s Pack Texture Pack for Minecraft! This is a beautiful pack that takes the traditional block shaped textures and smooths them out. You will notice textures like the sides of grass blocks look more rounded. Doing this brings an entirely new feel to Minecraft but doesn’t stray too far from Vanilla textures. Rock textures are smooth, cobble stone looks a lot less jagged and ugly and this is always a welcome change.

MagiCraft Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.9) - This Texture is very simple, but in many ways it is far more professional, and better themed than the original Default Texture Pack. Its really casual, and gives an impressive sense of well development. I really enjoyed using it, and it seems that the majority of other opinions were similar to mine. The Texture Pack has been created at a 16×16 resolution which means its still at the same resolution as the Default Pack. This also means no additional lag, and great, more developed textures for the player to enjoy. And I kid you not, it really does make the game you play, Minecraft, so much better.

Defender of Texel Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.9) - This pack is based off a MMORPG voxel game hybrid. After comparing the pack and the game I think I can say that a poor job was done. I can understand a pack based on a major title. What I can’t understand is a pack based on an app. All of the textures are sort of mediocre. Nothing stands out. Not a single thing pops. None of the textures are very good. I can’t think of a single good thing about this pack. Maybe if you truly like D.O.T. Defenders of Texel you’ll download it. Maybe you just want to confuse yourself. I can’t tell you not to download it but I don’t recommend it.

Norzeteus Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.9) - The Norzeteus Resource pack for Minecraft is a really smooth looking one. The textures blend with each other, which makes some really cool smooth looks in game. The grass is really smooth, and the texture pack is realism but at the same time, it has cartoony elements. It makes for some really amazing gameplay looks and feelings. Its a 32×32 so people with a slower or lower end PC can still run it pretty smoothly. The pack does have some rough edges on some of the blocks, but it still looks nice. The tools are primitive looking, especially the stone tools, they look like stone tools would if you were just throwing something together. The wooden tools actually looked patched together, and the diamond and iron tools look really nice!

Candy Crash Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.9) - Candy Crash pack is heavily inspired by the popular casual video game of the same name. This is one of the more colorful and bright packs you will ever find, with some well designed textures with good depth and vibrancy too. The new world you create with this makes everything look a lot like a magical candy land and its great to use with mods like Mine Little Pony.

SkaiaCraft Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.9) - This is one of those weird packs that deviates from vanilla textures as much as it can. The grass doesn’t even look like grass, which is odd to me. This could be considered a novelty pack (mostly for the grass), although some people would probably enjoy using it. I do really like the UIs, though.

Pumpkin Patch Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.9) - I like Halloween. I enjoy pumpkin pie. I carve jack-o-lanterns. I like my textures in Minecraft to have plenty of pumpkin. This resource pack is for the pumpkin enthusiast. The pumpkin theme of this pack is something I haven’t seen yet and I am enjoying so far. If you have wished for a way to further your pumpkin obsession or just want to fight pumpkin monsters, this is the pack for you. The texture changes are refreshing and well done however I would get this pack for the mobs. All of the hostile mobs appear to be monsters straight from the nightmares of a child stricken with cucurbitophobia. The pack is installed and used in the same way a texture pack would be.

Soviet Texture Pack (1.7.10/1.7.9) - Have you ever played the very popular Command and Conquer franchise? One of the most recent titles was Red Alert 3 and has a very interesting and comic book type of art style.
