MotionInJoy is an option if you dont have an xbox 360 controller lying around. But I'd get it for PS3 if I were you. You do get some exclusive missions after all. But if you prefer PC gaming then it's up to you.
May I Ask Why? I pretty much used to write essays about this but overall: The story is just terrible. Terrible. ugh. Now it was years since I played it but as far as I remember it was "graow I'm Cesare and I like to do evil things cause I am evil grrrrr. BLAM. POW. ZAP. OH NO ANCIENT SPACE GODS...". It's like an Ed Movie or something. And the characters are the worst, most annoying and one dimensional I have ever seen. There's absolutely no depth in any of the characters. It's like one of those movies where they have a sh*t ton of celebrities just for the sake of having them but everything else is terrible. Gameplay is also really horrible. Combat is super bad and super easy. You don't feel like an assassin. You just walk in and slaughter everything. You can kill streak you way through an entire army. And the free running is also really bad. You're just holding down buttons and the game tries to guess what you want. Compare to Infamous for example. Much better. And at least on consoles the performance and pop in is some of the worst I've seen. I agree with them making the combat way too easy but it had overall better character development than AC2 and thats because they focused on Ezio more than Desmond.
Its mainly just the younger people who have never played a game on PS1 complain about disc swapping. Let them see how it is to play Final Fantasy 9 with 4 discs. As long as the games is separated decently with no frequent disc swapping required it's fine. Plus any 360 owner who doesnt buy a decent HDD is just retarded. Give up on buying some games and save it for an HDD.
The only PS3 game which I've encountered with horribly long updates is Resistance 3 and thats because they completely reworked the Move support in the game to be more like Killzone 3 instead of the crappy Move functionality it came packed with. And another basic piece of advice: Unless you're going to play the game online, DON'T UPDATE THE GAME. It's just that simple.
