I use mac at the collage, they are newer ones and boy are they slow as f*#k. I believe its because the fact that too many ppl use them and they have no disk defrag or anything.TrooperManaic

Mac's do have a disk defrag.

A pc would be just as slow in the same situation with too many people using the same machine.

[QUOTE="shoeman12"]pc's are better. you can customize them, the OS isn't crippled, they cost a lot less.shoeman12

Explain how the mac OS is crippled.

can it run many games? can it run 95% of all programs?

Who said computers are for games?

As I said before, mac's are usually bought for their software, not the hardware; and yes, the software you buy it for actually works. What it really comes down to for this decision is what you're using a computer for, and which programs you have a liking for. Honestly, saying the OS is crippled because it can't play many games is childish. Mac OS is very stable and has a lot to offer. You on the other hand either don't recognize what it's possibilities and/or capabilities are or have no use for it; which by really doesn't mean that the OS is crippled.

RAM doesn't have as much of an impact on gaming as it does on other applications, so little to no difference. Multitasking between other applications and/or using them may show performance increase.

Yea, final cut pro would be just as capable on a windows machine. That's just the thing though; it would be, but it isn't. Mac keeps it's programs for itself. They use their software to sell their hardware. Suppose I should have said that they're actually better, but used more by for their programs rather than their look or power.

It's not just a claim either, each time I see graphic design or some type of video editing being done in person it's usually on a mac, wether I see it on tv, in online tutorials or whatnot, and the designers that I know myself, use macs for designing. I don't know why they use them, they just do.

As far as I know macs are more useful from a production standpoint; Visual and audio media production and creation. Ofcourse you can do the same with a pc, but there are certain programs that are only for mac which are very popular. They also seem to be a bit more user friendly than a pc.

FYI: Putting a mac os on a pc is illegal, and not easy to do in the first place.

You're probably seeing OEM and Retail versions. OEM versions are significantly cheaper than retail.

1. Make sure your internal wiring is managed in such a way that it doesn't block airflow.

2. Purchase an aftermarket heatsink with a larger and/or faster fan.

3. Get better and/or more case/chassis fans.

4. Dust the inside of your case, fans, and heatsink every now n' then.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Other options:

1. Liquid cooling.

2. Phase change cooling. ($$$$)

------------------------------------------------

Don't every spray water inside your computer.

Warhawk is pretty good. Fullscreen multiplayer > split screen multiplayer though.
