Bad drive maybe? Update it's firmware, or maybe you just got a regular cd-rom ina dvdrw box

IDE 2 primary = sata? I don't think so. Unless you have a sata-ide converter for the drive which is pointless.

[QUOTE="-CheeseEater-"]Without a Widescreen monitor, your not going to get "Boom Headshotted" as much as you do now with a 4:3 Ratio screen. :PHuusAsking

But what if the shot comes from above or below?

Don't widescreens compromise vertical expanse when they expand their horizontal expanse (IOW, though you can look left or right better, the same can't be said of up or down)?

You have to choose the proper resolution. Square resolutions will look either blurry or stretched out on a widescreen.

Maybe if you had updated to vista from xp on the same disk. But you didn't.

Wow. Kinda weird. Haven't come acroos a mobo that has to have timings/votlages set manually. At least you aren't getting theerror anymore. For some reason though I never saw that kb929777 fix in any of the auto updates.

There's nothing wrong with your memory. If you installed vista with 4gb installed, I suggest you reformat with 2gb installed. You do not need sp1 for the hot fix. There is a standalone fix for this problem:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929777/en-us

I had the same problem happening but once I figured it out, everything is fine. Only thing I don't like is having to take a memory stick out when formatting. Besides, it's not just vista, but the combination of vista + various motherboards. You do not have to do any ram tests, change any speeds or timings.

I know this is abit off but I just wanted to say that my 8800gt superclocked 512mb card is at 48c sometimes it gets as low as 45c and as high as 65c but it has never reached 80c.

Even when I play a graphic intence game it doesn't reach that temp. Also I have the fan running at around 70% I believe.

I live in Southern California. We pushin about 83F temps at 9p.m. Just plain hotter ambient temps for me so... higher core temps will result.
