@sladakrobot: True, but I'm an older gamer. I've been gaming since the 80's and frankly am losing interest in always upgrading for video games. My tv is just fine. My PC is fine as well. I bought my X1 a year ago and am not interested in yet another console. That's just me. $80 per game in Canada makes one think before purchasing a game. Isn't it all about the titles? The hardware can be great, but lets see why I should invest in a new tv and console.
I've put tons of hours into Rocket League and you can play that on pretty much any PC. (Just an example)
@bluebird08: Agreed. Who's asking for new consoles 2 and half years after the launch of the current ones? Games are expensive enough. $80 in Canada. So, all I need is a 4K TV, a new console and new games to be a "gamer"? Screw it, I'm doing just fine with what I have. I'm guessing support for X1 and PS4 will not be full and the new crop of games will be geared towards the new consoles even though they say all games will run on current and the new system. Why come out with a more powerful system if you're going to focus on the lowest common denominator?
Well, the only bad thing is Steam offers achievements and GOG doesn't. I guess, the games they are talking about mostly don't have Steam achievements??
