I found the naval ascpect of AC3 to be one of the most enjoyable parts of the game... Unfortunatey it wasn't fully fleshed out and had its hitches. I actually found some of the missions to be quite difficult, especially to get full marks on. I feel that the addition of this in AC3 was also very innovative, when else has there ever been a naval warfare game of this caliber (and time setting)? This is one of the primary reasons I preordered AC4, as I was somewhat disappointed with the rest of AC3 (especially because it was supposed to be the finale of the series). All in all looking forward to AC4, and a refined experience of life on the open seas! Yar!

Considering the popularity of the Assassin's Creed franchise it would have been stupid to kill it off after AC III. You don't need Desmond to continue the franchise.

For a next TR game ! Sign up !!! http://www.petitionbuzz.com/petitions/anexttombraider See SQUARE ENIX last financial difficulties, we want to show our interest for the franchise reboot, and say we hope an other Tomb Raider in the future !love-tombR

I think they set a bigger goal for sales than what was probably attainable. The game is probably over 4 million copies sold which doesn't include digital downloads. I have a feeling there will be another Tomb Raider in probably about 2 years so there's no need to rush the developers.

[QUOTE="Lenarius"]

Here's a PS3 review in a nutshell: It runs perfectly. Seriously, no framerate issues, graphics are fantastic, gameplay is smooth and satisfying. You shouldn't feel the slightest hesitation to get it for PS3.

Ryder_49

This is a perfect summary. Runs perfectly on PS3.

Is there a noticeable difference in graphics compared to the Xbox or are both games about the same?

So I'm a fan of the Walking Dead TV show, I'll start off by saying that. I own the 1st comic, and thought it was "okay" at best. I loved the TellTale games. So I enjoy walking dead, but I am not a huge ubber fan of it. I was interested in this game, until I realized it suddenly was being released out of nowhere, for 10$ less then normal price, and barely any advertisement, I thought, eh nevermind. Then I read all the hate. Saw the terrible graphics. Then my mind was made up. Until this morning I woke up and decided, hey why the hell not, I'm off today, I'm bored, gives me something to do(no place to rent games here). So i bought it. I played it for two hours, and was pleasently surprised. It is pretty enjoyable. It's not great, but it's pretty good, and probably not as bad as most think it is. The graphics, as you can all tell, aren't great, thats never really mattered to me, but to some it does. I will say the atmosphere is wonderful. I have a decent surround sound system and the sounds, and music make this game very tense. I did once jump and yell "sh*t" outloud like an idiot, and I rarely do this in games. I like the overall idea of this game, but won't deny that it could of been executed a lot better then this. I do feel that the blunt weapons don't have variety besides a normal hit and a hard hit. I wish for a bit more detailed zombie head smashing here! Overall I think it's a good game, and I can see plenty of you enjoying it, and plenty of you hating it. It's basically a hit or miss for sure, and its a hit for me. It's a bit shallow and maybe not worth the 50$ pricing. 40 and under would be a good deal deff. In my personal opinion/review for the 2hrs so far 7/10. We will see if it changed down the line. Any questions let me know, I am not biased, and will give you honest feedback.

I'm guessing there's no multiplayer so that might be why it is $10 cheaper than most games.

I'd say they're actually similar in quite a few ways - but that's definitely not a bad thing. Uncharted 2 and 3 are superb games - particularly 2 - and the climbing, interactive set pieces and gunplay all seem at least similar. I absolutely love the new Tomb Raider and I'd hate to think anyone passes on it due to similarities to Uncharted. The similarities don't mean you 'feel' like you're playing an Uncharted game, you just feel comfortable and at home with the game quickly if you've experienced them. For me, Tomb Raider seems to be a good combination of Batman Arkham Asylum, Resident Evil 4 and Uncharted. All fantastic games and since they've got it right, criticism of ripping any of them off is extremely unfair.BigJackBauer

I'm surprised there aren't more comparisons to Hitman and Assassin's Creed considering the game has something similiar to Instinct/Eagle Vision.

i read a lot of reviews and see people in comments comparing it to uncharted or even complaining they ripped off uncharted. As far as i`m concerned they are 2 separate games and have no relation to one another other than some minor similarities.i`m getting sick of hearing this especially in reviews. How does everyone else feel about this?

resident_jisen

I have never played Uncharted or Tomb Raider so the only similarity I can think of is is that both are 3rd person Action/Adventure games.

How is game fun if it is a rip off and copy of another game and isn't in line with the original or its story? Because the game plays and has decent graphics that is to be expected of any game bought today. No some of us play game for their originality and we play them for their innovate story lines and characters, this is enjoyment.

No...... The story here makes no freaking sense at all. We have all seen how hot Angelina Jolie was in the film and we all know Lara Croft where her heritage came from and her story from the film and previous games. Where she got her training and why she trained to be a Tomb Raider and were she acquired her riches. She didn't become a tomb raider from being shipwrecked on an island. A rip off cliche from untold creations and you expect me to swallow this crap of her origin. Nothing original here anymore this isn't Lara at all.

When you are shipwrecked on an island you get another boat when the natives have guns, boats and helicopters. obviously not when you must learn to be Tomb Raider before you can actually survive by getting the F outta there?

The bow and arrow came from a dead guy another cliche following that same rip off of the Green Arrow, Hunger Games and so many other shipwrecked island games of late. If she was a millionaire and equipped she would use a crossbow for silent kills they are far more accurate with zoom scopes and compact and the bolts are stronger then arrows.

Your on an island you start a fire the natives come running isn't that obvious? Defeats the whole point of hunting camping and yadda yadda.

Talent skills she already had the talents in pursuit of her Olympic Gold and her Gymnastic's since her early years. She now need new skills in archery durp durp.

Multiplayer this is Tomb Raider about someone who unearths priceless artifacts. Although now she is recruiting to share her treasure with those followers. This kind of defeats the entire point. 15-20 hours of FPS because of the tacked on multiplay yea it is no wonder.

Had she been puzzle solving locating those secret artifacts and relics while killing the undead, beasts, demons in several locations we might have had a longer game then this wannabe Rambo provides shooter provides.

You have to be kidding me at your stupid approach to words the way you attempt to butcher mine. Your lack of knowledge of Lara Croft. I hate when a character I love gets turn into something she is not in a stupid ripped off cliche.

ZaoQuan

Shhh Lara is being secretly recruited into the Assassin Brotherhood.

Enough with console exclusive games! Its so late in the life of these consoles that it feels unfair at this point to just release a game for the PS3 or xbox360. Share the wealth! im a huge fan of zombie games and this game honestly looks like it could be on the 360 no problemo! rza_beats

Naughty Dog is a subsidiary of Sony so of course anything they develop is going to be a PS exclusive.
