yesterday i was playing madden 09 n then d screen started flunctuating; i thought it was my tv at first since i have a dlp but then isaw d yellow light on my ps3... i got mad. d good part though is dat d ps3 comes on but after a while it goes to yellow n then red...i just want to know how i can be sure if its d hard drive or d blu-ray drive. n also if i send it to sony n its not d hard drive; will they format my hdd or not, n if i can back up ma ps3 hdd b4 sendin it 2 sony...i need answers plzdon_mayo

That's not good.. because that can't be repaired as far as I know.

Yes, try backing up your data I'm not sure if it's possible though.
