Lets look at games like sports games or racing simulators. With out that added console power there is pretty much nothing developers can add to there games. Look at GT. you don't seriously expect more realism with out th eadded power.
Conpare that to GC , I mean Wii. You will pretty much be playing last gen games Differently. Just a new twist not a new game. When this Motion sensing novelty wears away what next. Since I played next gen Basket (2k7 on 360) I can't go back to my PS2. Trust me in a year or so peopel won't be gaming in wii
You still haven't answered my question. Make it straightforward. What is something new that Microsoft or Sony have brought to the industry?

That's right. Gimmicks contain the latest technology, which costs more, which = more money (that has to be spent manufacturing). Just for a bit of trivia: Bill Gates thought the internet was a gimmick and had no plans to implement support for it in Windows 95.

I don't recall anyone using Kiddycube anymore. In fact I haven't seen an insolent name for the GC for ages. But if they do, I think they use "gaycube" now.
