sorry but the issue is NOT complex. the more women who join gaming it will inevitably cause a shift to a more centered/realistic approach. there will still be these types of games as long as there is a market for it, and im totally fine with that as a man and as a father of a little girl. its fantasy, and as long as people make that distinction in the real world i dont see any problem. im always reminded of that meme where it compares he-man to barbie when ever I hear crap about the portrayal of women effecting little girls self esteem. those kids must have some crummy parents I tell ya...
I really wish they would have made the new tomb raider with like only 13 'Bad Guys' and then animals aswell. 'so ONLY 13!' you scream at me! But think about it for a sec. Make those 13 bad guy fights like boss fights or 'shadow of the colossus' style. Theyre hard to beat, each fight becoming harder, and it would make more sense story wise because they were on a DESERTED island. Very few survivors on the island and the ones who did are HARD AS NAILS! Also it would make sense because lara hadnt become a hard core tomb raider yet and shes like 110lbs so taking down these crazy psycho survivors would be hard as hell. So instead of WAVES of baddies and EXPLOSIVE barrels it would be more like a fight to the death with one or two baddies coming at you! I think it would have made each kill a bigger deal for lara instead of how she felt bad for the first kill and then went all rambo. These changes I think would have made for a better game AND origin story but alas big publishers just want to play it safe with a tried and true formula. What do you guys think?
@Kinguard73 @nameaprice like graphics and game/gunplay/shooting mechanics are great but it needs... idk just more innovative gameplay, story and level design.
