I have a HP Dv6-6135dx pavilion laptop.
It has a switchable graphics AMD 6620G and an AMD 6750M. I realized my games were struggling. So I went to check the graphics properties by left clicking and finding it on Catalyst Control Center. Every time I that it says that my computer doesn't have a proper AMD driver or that I don't have the graphic adapter on my computer. Control panel sees both, recognizes both, and says they are both running fine. I checked the performance on the two cards, there was nothing being run through the 6750m.Â
I tried to update it and I install the latest mobility suite that has the newest drivers (or any drivers), but when it tries to install/update it agains says ATI Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible hardware. Install the correct driver... Gfx adapter not connected.
It also has an A8-3500M APU with radeon hd graphics.... That won't update either, I get an "error can't rewrite catalyst/mobility/ATIMMcDNAld.MSI.Â
I went to HP and they had a BIOS update.... Did that, didn't change anything. Also installed catalyst control center/gfx drivers from HP for this computer... They sucessfully installed but changed nothing.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers on both the 6620G and the 6750m. No change.
I am running Windows 7 64-Bit.
I have no idea what to do... Any ideas?Â

Yeah, the tv I bought is passive polarization, it is not the active shutter. But yeah the tridef 3d supports the passive polarization now. I was just reading and getting confused that 3d gaming only worked with 120hz monitors... From what I have gathered that is only the nvidia stuff. Well I'll get it in a couple of days and it will be interesting. Thanks for the answer.
I recently bought a 3d tv. It is a sceptre 32" LED 1080P tv. It is 3-d ready, capable of 3dtv, and can convert 2d-3d. It comes with glasses. Has a refresh rate of 60hz. I bought it because it was the cheapest/best 1080P LED 32" tv I could find. The 3d was an afterthought. But now that I'm getting it, it hasn't arrived yet. Will I be able to play games such as bf3 and crysis 2 on my comp? I have 7 gigs of ddr3 ram, an intel core i7 quad core occ'ed to 3.2 and dual ati HD 5770's running on crossfire. Will this set up work? If not what has got to change?
I'm debating switching over to linux from windows because, well I'm bored to tears. I've done a lot of research and it seems like linux is gonna be faster and much cleaner. So, I'm pretty much all for it. I also read Nvidia gfx cards have no problems on a linux system. My question is, will my x-fi sound card work and will the software work on linux... I'll dl wine and what not. But if my audio card and its software won't work my switch is mute because I have AWESOME surround sound for my computer, that I cannot do without. I'll be waiting for feedback. Thanks.
