ok so i got everything in yesterday and put it together. when i started the machine it was making a very loud high pitched squeal. after trouble shooting...unhooking power to graphics card didn't stop it but taking out the card did stop the noise. i tried inserting the card into all 4 slots and the noise was made in all slots. do i have a bad card?

Ok...so I should be getting the rest of my components for my first build soon. Here's what I'm getting...at what settings would I be able to play Crysis. Just curious before I buy the game, wanting to know if I'll be able to max it out.

AMD Phenom II X4 965

MSI 790FX-GD70

Radeon 5850

RAM 4GB

HDD is Seagate Barracuda 7200.12

And I put this in the Crysis forum and didn't get much of a response...so you hardcore boarders relax.

Im going to be ordering the rest of my stuff for my first build this week. The RAM I had planned on getting on newegg is now not on there. I was going to get Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 4GB (2x2) DDR3. I'm building for gaming. Any input for another good RAM choice. I was reading some reviews, and would prefer not to deal with manually adjusting speeds to get best performance. Like I said, first build so easier the better. Thanks

Would a 550W be enough for a Radeon 5850...or should I go with 700W?
