and another annoying thing is, is that the option html thingy for the O2 box isn't really user friendly, you have to dig around to get what you want which gets rather annoying :S

sorry guys was away for a bit, yeah so I tried the changing the DNS still nothing, the weird thing is that it works for a while the first time I start my ps3 then it goes downhill from there? I don't want the networking to only work for about 20 mins then stop, that's going to get annoying and its still not connecting to PSN. Just trouble shooting but is there any majormaintenance going on around now?

sorry got carried away with Uncharted 2 :D

Yeah so anyway without changing anything it managed to work... for a while

then a totally new error came up. After managing to sign up to PSN whilst updating Uncharted 2 (which failed) it logged me out, after playing a bit of Uncharted 2 singleplayer I went back onto the XMB and tested the connection, now having more options the IP address succeeded and the internet connection succeeded but now the Playstation Network bit fails? random much?

and one more thing how do i change my DNS to automatic when I have a static IP?

Thanks you've helped a lot

okay so after going through the DMZ process again the IP address succeeds but the internet connection fails due to a DNS error? Any help?

like I said before, that might work but I'm looking for apermanent fix. I don't want to keep having to turn off the router each time I want to use the online function of the PS3
