Well my Vic 20 was my first computer and then Commodore 64 after that.. they had no hard drive.. but I had a cassette drive!

My first windows computer was in mid 90's with Windows 95. It had a 3 GB hard drive.

I had a Vic20 as well, and a golf game on tape. Half the time it wouldn't load properly so I'd have to rewind it, reset the computer, and try again.

I had to do that with some games I had on cassette too. I have fond memories of those old machines, even though they were not user friendly by todays standards.

Once I copied around 1000 lines of basic code so I could play a free lunar lander game.. tried to run it and got a syntax error. Then proceeded to proofread every line until I found the mistake. Pretty funny in hindsight.

Nice to see some people who had computers that predated hard drives.
