Hey Shaun whats up? I'm really, really excited and anticipating Farcry 4 because the previous Farcry was one of the most refreshing videogaming I've had in a looong time. all it's systems are perfectly interwoven, exploration (which is fun in any open world game) is rewarded, with unprecedented freedom to open the map, complete missions, liberate outposts and level up, and even collectibles were fun to get.
If by chance I'm selected, i'd like a size L shirt
@Sundberg_man @pdfanboy since you are going all around in defending this review, i just want to quote you right there. "I don't mind hearing a guy bashing a game rather then glorifying it like the rest". lets bash the games just for the sake of it shall we?? cause there's enough clearly justified gloryfying of our favourite hobby....
@Legolas_Katarn @ne0man i wasnt implying Tom in particular would be praising COD, but reffering to how a gaming website should at least stand by it's reviews, and in this particular website you see the yearly cods get 9.0 and 8.5 and you get the bipolar 9 and 4 reviews on Bioshock Infinite. written as a fanboy of a saga WHICH Ken Levine himself stated HE DISTANCED HIMSELF FROM THUS NAMING THE GAME INFINITE and NOT 3. a game should STAND ON IT'S OWN MERITS, and if it's NOT a direct sequel why is this whole review bashing this original game with Bioshock in it's name, by criticizing EVERY ASPECT of it by comparison to a completely different game of yesteryear?
I never, never...but NEVER, even felt the slight urge to comment against a review ANYWHERE. I have a GS account active since 2006. but rating Bioshock Infinite as BELOW average is outrageous. it's written as to tear down every single element of the game, even dismissing what's arguable about the game, dismissing how polished, the competent combat, the fluid progression, and IT'S NOT CALLED BIOSHOCK 3. but COD keeps getting high praise year after year, now theres the combination of great story, and innovation? this was the drop to destroy all credibility on this website for me now and how ridiculous this website is in it's trolling, flame baiting and attention seeking through bad reviews.
@bahamut_au @ne0man the game has been bashed for it's looks since the very announcement. those people were so biased they never gave a chance to the game and the studio behind it. now that the game is out, those same haters complain that it's about difficulty curves, bosses, gameplay, and bad framerate, but the truth is: if this EXACT same game was made by a japanese studio to follow the previous games, there wouldn't be this fallout. so to me there's no excuses to rate a game 1, and 3 unless it is REALLY BAD, which is not the case. i stand by it, this is CHILDISH
I don't know what's the deal with the player types. is gamespot trying to create even more gaming stereotypes, so that gamers drift apart even more? I don't like where this is going and i find the thought of it just absurd
@xsonicchaos yeah man, looks like people are eager to bring the inquisition back! there's always a scapegoat, people must always throw the blame on something else, rather than reflect on their own mistakes.
