Agree with you till the very end. Why not create a spin-off? I remember the animatrix (the animated movie) was a great idea. Using source material and just expanding upon it. I guess it would be too hard a sell to try create an expanded universe and be separate ourselves from the breathtaking Mr. Reeves. I'll watch it... for curiousity's sake and for Hollywood that's all the reason they need to resurrect this franchise.
