I finally got a 9800GT a few days ago, so now I need some PC games recommendations. I already know I'm getting Crysis and Empire:Total War, so what are some other PC games from the past 3 years I should play? Keep in mind that I had the consoles, so I've played most big games of the generation like Mass Effect,L4D and Bioshock, so no need recommending that.

Gothic III with 1.7 Community Patch is much superior than Oblivion (well, even with all the problems before the patches it was better than Oblivion). If you like "real" RPGs and thought Oblivion was far worse than Morrowind you'll enjoy Gothic III, otherwise the chances to like it are minimal.

I really liked oblivion and I am getting a deal of gothic 3 for 5$ ,I think its a good deal but I am hope it is almost as good as rpg as oblivion was.

IDK about how much violence are in these games(due to the fact that i haven't played them) but Eternal Sonata, Disgeae 3, and Valkyria Chronicles. I'm pretty sure thats what everyone will say. Valkyria Chronicles(from my demo experience) isn't that violent i mean yeah it has guns and everything but you see like bang or ouch or something like that.FF6fan
