Hey everyone,

I've just finished the 2nd chapter for a second time......

second time you say, yes, the first time i played the game i got to the third chapter and then suddenly my saved games where

gone from the launcher......i started over, thinking that like the idiot i am i may have deleted my saved game( i delete them all the time cause i read somewhere that if they build up they contribute to the crashes)

this time through however i know for sure i didnt accidentily delete all my saves.....

when i started the game up this morning, went through the launcher and such ......no saved games it says

; ( looked in the programs again for the game to check for saves there, being a vista user i have to go through something called Game explorer....wtf is that, never had to do that before.....and still nothing

looked in the program files and found my saved game there but I have no idea what to do with them now, how to transfer them to where they need to be so i can load a saved game and not have to go through the tutorial and outskirts mission again, having already experienced the haunted old mill twice i dont want to have to do it again....

any insight would be appreciated , im relatively new to PC gaming and was loving The Witcher until i came across this, im afraid if i dont find a fix i might not play through this again........its probably really easy.....i thought copy + paste solution but i really have no idea what to do.....

thanks in advance

As for the question, the individual that stated the fact that you are in daytime/safe zone is correct. The signs/magic only light up when they can be used.....i also came across this and worried for a moment, then realized what was going on.....

It doesnt really surprise or bother me much atm. I only played throught the first couple missions so far in COD 4, which i got from Santa. I bought the orange box when it came out and still havent finished the Half Life eps. 2 game(sacrelige i know). And just last week i bought the witcher and am now just halfway through the second chapter........In addition, i picked up Farcry for 10.00 and havent played through that, havent finished Company of Heroes that came with my video card, bought Prey for 5.00 and havent opened it, so i think im set for a little while.......the Witcher game is top on the list right now, then maybe some more TF2 once the new content is released , with such a good 4th quarter last year i cant keep up, unless all you do is play video games then i dont know why anyone as a shortage but then i guess a life and work must be getting in the way of my gaming experience.....

peace

I've had a Wii for about 18 mnts and in the beginning it was fun. WII sports was entertaining while playing with the girlfriend, and i even played through Zelda, Resident Evil 4 , and Metroid Prime....possibly the best games for the system. I have since purchased Madden Football and The Rabbid Rabits game, latter for the g/f. but never play the system anymore. Like the others here, platformers arent my thing and eventhough Galaxy may be a fantastic game i for one will never play it. I need more adult content and even though the Wii is underpowered it can still provide descent graffics and wonderful gameplay(look no further then Prime)....there just isnt enough of them coming down the pipe unfortunately(not a mario analogy).

peace

Oblivion can be a fun, long lasting experience.....if and only if you grab the OOO mod to negate the terrible lvl scaling of the game. I first played through the vanilla game and hated the fact that i finished the main quest and all the guide quests and was still only lvl 10 or so. Not once did i die or was challenged in combat. However, with the mod community providing everything from graphic improvements( Natural Environment mod) to improved gameplay and challenge (OOO mod) it can be a truly great experience......its a great game to have and play on occassion when you are bored and wanna just mess around......after the mods are implemented it can take a hr or two just to clear one of the ruins and in the early lvls using the traps in the ruins will be your best friend, this is something i didnt even consider when playing the vanilla verson, just run in sword a swinging.......

Like many others here have mentioned, a Dark Tower game would be awesome, gunslinger would also make a great movie, cant believe it hasnt been done.

I would also love to see a RPG of the Dragon Lance Chronicles, one where all the main characters are playable within a teamCo op based game, magine Rastlin, the mage character......Tanis, the Archer Character......Sturm, the Knight character, Tassoholf , the thief , Caromin the tank etc , etc....the bookshave everything and i would love for it to be developed, sadly all we get is a animated movie thats due to come out that looks kinda sub par to me.....

I purchased Mario Party 8 for my girlfriend and played it with my friends a few times, its not that entertaining at all. I recently purchased the Raving Rabbi 2 game and its way superior to the Mario game, its funny and the mini games are so much better than anything you find in Mario party......

I bought and played both games the first week they were released......personally i liked them both alot but i think RE4 as more replay value, after finishing Metroid i dont think i will ever revisit it even though it was a great game.........

Here's my 2 cents.........I live in Canada hey and building a rig wasnt an option cause i know nothing about the guts of a computer so this is what i did........Granted its barely even entry level pc gaming but i can play Team Fortress 2 online on hight settings and thats pretty damn cool......

I bought aHp 2.2 ghz Duo Core Computer from Future shop for 399.00

then i replaced the integrated video card with a Nivida Geforce 8600gt (xxx) from Tiger Direct.com 120.00 came with Company of Heroes which is a great RTS game.

I also added 2 gigs of ram for 50 dollars.

Finally, i added a 22 inch LG monitor from Future shop for 230.00.

Again, not the greatest rig but for the money i spent its able to play all the games out there(except Crysis, which i havent tried) and watching movies and general computer use is fantastic......and seriously, i was able to do the modifications myself with no problems at all.......snap in place, cant get much easier than that......
