a friend told me the other day that "fanny" actually means vagina in England. I always thought "fanny" meant "buttocks"

mrbojangles25

That is indeed true...

I think it's just slang differences to be honest. I have no problem understanding what Americans say but some Americans are totally confused when we say some words :P

It's a bit like how the Swiss-German (German speaking Swiss) can understand native Germans perfectly but the Germans have real trouble understanding some of the slang the Swiss come out with.

[QUOTE="bobbetybob"] Surprises are always fun, especially when they involve cake.bobbetybob

So, does this mean you have dreams involving cake?

I wish, maybe I do want a lucid dream, I'll imagine myself a pastry and cake city!

Wow that sounds awesome! :P

I've had many glimpses of the future, all of them coming true. A few of the glimpses have been horrible to see, and ended up being true, one which showed my ex betraying me for money. It came true a week later.

A more recent one I had is still to come true, I'm hoping it doesn't.

Smokescreened84

Wow. I guess the only good thing that can come of that is that you can at least prepare yourself for what is going to happen. It must be horrible knowing that it can happen though

[QUOTE="bobbetybob"] Again, that's what makes dreams fun, sometimes you get dull ones like where you eat a biscuit for 4 hours, then others are completely mental and you're punching your own nan in the face because she's secretly a Russian spy.bobbetybob

I suppose you just like suprises then? :P *gives bobbetybob a slice of cake* :P

Many times, I also tend to remember the majority of my dreams with a few of them being turned into stories while others turn out to be premonitions of the future.

Somewhat annoying.

Smokescreened84

Premonitions are very scary! I remember when I was about the age of 10 I had a dream when I was sat in an unknown classroom and some rather large woman walked through one door and exited through the other. 3 years later at the age of 13 I was sat in that exact classroom (not knowing it was the classroom from my dream) and that same woman walked through with the same clothes on. That woman is my registration tutor!

[QUOTE="bobbetybob"]Sounds pretty rubbish actually, the thing that makes dreams so interesting is not actually knowing that they're dreams and thinking that they're happening. "Oh God I'm being eaten by a giant fish monster!!!!" > "Oh look, my unconscious mind is being eaten by a giant fish monster, I wonder what this says about my state of mind"bobbetybob

I suppose you have a point there. But what if you want to be able to do something that your unconscious mine won't necessarily do itself? Such as fly to outer space, or base jump off a mountain?

If you don't know what one is check it out here

It's really got me interested as I have never had one before (or never been aware that I have had one)

Have you ever had one? If so, what did you do? xD
