How is sharing her ideology corruption?
When it affects your work, it's a big problem. When you actually have conflict of interests and don't see the problem, we wouldn't have been here where we are now
So should critics also not be allowed to share the views of gamergaters? Or is it only when they disagree with you that it's a problem?
That's not what i meant, and you know it. The problem we've seen the last 10 months is that their bias have taken over their objectivity and frankly their job that they're suppose to do, and now they're corrupting the industry. Having different opinions is welcome, as long as they're as objective and they're actually looking out for the consumer and not furthering a narrative
And isn't that what they're doing? Looking after their consumers? You don't seem to understand that the type of people that read Polygon want those type of articles and reviews.
It's very hypocritical to say "Different opinions are welcome but only as long as they fit my views" Not every one wants everything to be objective, if anything wanting stuff to be objective puts you in the minority. Reviews have always been written subjectively and for most people that's what works best.
I'm curious as to what these objective reviews you talk about are. I've asked for an example before but you never gave one.
Nobody is trying to prevent Polygon from having an opinion. They are entitled to their opinion, though I would much prefer it if they billed themselves as a social justice gaming site so that innocent people wouldn't be misled. I'd also prefer it if they kept their ideological reviews separate from their normal content for reviews, like Christ Centered Gaming does.
I do have a problem with Polygon writers and editors behaving unethically and in some cases even harassing (Ben Kuchera) people, however.
