"Gibeau explained further, saying EA did research and found the Medal of Honor community enjoys "more authentic shooters and the story." What? How is Medal of Honor any more authentic than Battlefield and vice versa? Given the amount of PR circular logic these executives speak I wonder if it affects their daily social lives as well?
Shoot me, but I LIKE the fact that Rockstar choose to hold back information on their games and projects as it avoids creating unnecessary hype and adding fuel the infinite expectations of the audience at large.
@Tsuchikage Yeah, the music was eventually handled by 'former' NIN drummer Chris Vrenna. I remember listening to the opening theme for Doom 3 and flipping over how much it sounded like the band Tool's music who were my obsession back then...
@SergioMX I read the statement pretty well, thank you very much, and Call of Duty may be the biggest game franchise but it is by no means "cutting edge" and the series so far has cut corners (in terms of content) like one of Aperture's 'Corner Cutting Machines'.
"I have always looked to that franchise as the cutting edge of what seemingly unlimited budgets and full-on not cutting any corners can do in the current day and age," Does anyone else find this statement a bit hard to swallow?
Trent's always been a pretty no-nonsense/cut the bulls*** kind of guy but this statement reeks of PR fluff. I do not question his videogame cred (after all he infamously decided to shelf all his work done for Doom III for considering it not up to standards) but if he has an iota of knowledge or even respect for the medium he would know how utterly wrong those words are.
