yes, but evrey 2-3 yers developres saying they have photo realistic engine. and this just not true. maybe in the ps2 era gameplay was more importante beacuse the lack of powefull hardware, but today developers cant have the Excuse to say the hardware is too weak for great graphics(at least on pc). well, in the next generation, evey game has to look great with high res close and far, it will be a realy shame if not.

my rig is new and decent. i have good gpu, i5 2400, 8 ram...it should do the trick.

so no matter how the graphics engines wiill improve it's not worth it with those squazy textures IMO

i have a solid gpu card (ati 6850) and play everything with ultra setting with good fps. how come todays games and even "big graphics, dx 11" games like crysis 2 and battlefield have a low res blurry texture when you go really close to a wall or prone to the ground ? from far it look nice but you would except that in today games you will have the same quality from far and up close... it's really bother me lol. i dont get it, why developers not putting high res bump mapping eveywhere, it will look a lot better.
