Ok so theres dust behind my psp screen. I dont know how it got there but i think some dust went into the buttons. Are they called Dust pixels. Theres a lot of small ones and u can only notice them when u shine it in the sun (like moving it side to side). They're ugly and annoying how can i get rid of them? I tried whippnig the screen with cloth (really hard) but it doesnt work so i guess its behind the screen, what should i do?vVv_GaMeR_vVv
OMG i have the same flippin problem....tho its one big spec of $%&$ iritaing dust:evil:..i even replaced my screen protector thinking it was that. I thought t was the only one....sorry i didnt help but its sorta a relief that im not alone in this:) tho maybe we can find a solution together:?
you'll need to install japanese firmware versions on it though. but the english language should be included in all PSP firmwares so just switch to it within system menu i think.mthe1337one
Incorrect, you can install any language firmware on any psp but if you install a firmware foriegn to the country it was meant for it will void your warranty.
Here's a possible fix. It has worked for *some* people but it is worth a try, ... PiXel fixer. Its a mp4 file just extract and place in your videos or 100MNV folder.
*note* some people had to run the video for a few hours before it fixed anything, for some people it didnt work at all and it only fixes *stuck pixels as in the coloured ones, a dead pixel is a completly black one .

Question 4: Does the Japanese firmware update screw up my U.S. PSP?
Answer: As for now, it does not harm/screw up your PSP. BUT, it does void your warraty, as I stated above. Yes, their will most likely be bugs with the Japanese firmware update, but they are the same bugs that the U.S. firmware update could have as well.
Question #5: If I updated my U.S. PSP to the Japanese firmware update, can I go back to U.S. firmware, when the next U.S. firmware comes out?
Answer: Yes you can on the next firmware version. But, if you have Japanese 2.0 and want to go to U.S. 2.0, you cannot do that. You will have to wait for the next U.S. firmware update.
!!!!!!you can play music on it? how do you get it on your psp?

....ok......you can play music, videos and view jpgs on the psp. For music just connect the psp to you pc via a 5 pin usb cable and transfer your mp3s to the provided MUSIC folder( format the memory stick first) but if a file is wma then you will have to go online with the psp to activate wma playback support. for videos you will need to first convert it to mp4 format then transfer it to the MPROOT >100MNV01 folder if you have formatted the memory stick with firmware 2.50 or lower(not quite sure)installed or if you have formatted your memory stick with firmware 3.02 and up installed then you can just drop them in the provided VIDEOS folder (I recommend pspvideo9 which does all the crap automatically). For pictures just drop you jpgs in the PICTURES folder.
