Also the maturity leval of gamers on ps3 has to be higher, and I've heard this from friends, mainly because no 8 year old kid is getting a 400 dollar system, instead they're going for the cheap xbox 360, which also has halo, which is more geared towards 10-14 year olds. But I very well could be wrong.

[QUOTE="nhl0994"] Alright man honestly here is how I'm going to break it down. I'm selling my xbox 360 tommorrow and getting a ps3. However for your first console, I recommend the xbox 360. One it all depends what console your friends have, assuming you have any, mainly because the xbox 360 relies heavily on the online experiance. If your not planning on connecting your console online than just get a ps3. Also price is important, on the cover ps3 looks overpriced, however the xbox 360 in the long run will cost you about the same with expenses like paying for xbox live gold. With HD ps3 gets you more bang for your buck with the blu ray player and from numerous reports hdmi output is better than the xbox 360. Lastly the games, if your not that into halo or gears of war, which your not if you haven't got a 360 by now than the exclusives over the ps3 aren't a big deal. The biggest part the xbox 360 has an edge on is the dlc. They have fallout and gta 4 dlc exclusivley and if that's a big deal for you there's another reason to get a xbox 360. I loved 360 and the only reason I'm sellling it is because it's time to move on from Halo and Gears of War get "meh" after a while and ps3 just seems more smart for the future considering its superior technology.Shin_Akuma01
That's your first post of this forum. I feel you, man. That is why I am leaning foward to by PS3 for the futuristic reason. Also, I have heard there are more mature players in PS3 than Xbox Live. One thing that ticks me is when I saw some stores sell Playstation Network gift cards, does that mean we have to pay something to download?

Well since I don't have it yet, I don't know ,I'm not 100% sure but I'm assuming that anything extra like movies, dlc, tv shows, and music would be extra, which are what the cards or for.

Have to disagree, get an xbox 360. Really the game selection is better, but this is my opinion. blu-ray players are cheap and a standalone player is always better than a tacked on blu-ray drive. The 360 will save you some dough and the downloadable content make the multiplatform games better. You can always get a ps3 later when the price is dropped to a reasonable range, then you can play the 2-3 games worth playing, yet not have to play inferior imported multiplatsthecreechxxx
this is a rare exception, everyone knows that the ps3 blu ray player is better than the early standalones http://www.hdtvorg.co.uk/news/articles/2007040803.htm

stupid question, why do we care which sells more? Both consoles are great and it just depends on what exclusives you like, personally I'm selling my 360 tommorrow for a ps3 because metal gear solid4 and killzone are just too good to pass up, and gears of war and halo just never meant much to me.
