@leeko_link: It's been confirmed the "crew" stays together throughout the story to strengthen their bonds throughout the game. It's integral to the theme of the game. They won't be separated for any significant lengths of time.

@Fia1: The size of the game alone will make it a very long game. Just because it's action-based combat it doesn't make it a short game. Look at the Witcher or many other action based rpgs with large worlds.

Ok since this glitchy piece of crap site won't let me reply to comments i'll have to post it as a new comment:

@groowagon If you think about it, all combat in final fantasy has been boring in the beginning until you really get to see the mechanics and progression system. That is something we were not able to see in the demos. The demos show us only the most basic elements of combat. Once we see the whole package and all the intricacies I don't think we can judge it.

@slappy54: then go play games that aren't rpgs. Rpgs are meant to be full of detail and things to do in a large breathing world.
