Beyonce IS Good!

For some reason people hate on Beyonce. Well I just listened to some of the tracks off of her new album, "I am... Sasha Fierce." All I can say is... wow. She really kills it on some of the tracks. Some even moved me to the point of embracing my girlfriend as we listened to it. The track that really sticks with me is Halo. I can really tell Beyonce means what she is singing. Also, I really liked the song Diva. Anyway, don't call me gay or a loser or what have you because I enjoy music from a talented female artist, and because I listen to music for a deeper reason than just hearing good sounds.

If you haven't checked out Beyonce's new album, you really should. It's really great. She's good no matter what people say.

One love, Nick.

Hey Guys. Some Updates.

Here are some updates about what's happening in my life!

1. I just started a new crew with one of my buddies. It's a dance/rap/singing crew. We're called Spectrum International. You can check some of our latest stuff out at either YouTube or MySpace.

2. I started building a recording studio in my house. So far all I have is the room and the soundproofing material and an alright microphone. I'm working on getting a new, more professional mic soon.

3. My YouTube Channel is going strong and I'm coming out with a new video soon. Link

4. In gaming news, I just got Prince of Persia for PC and BioShock. Both from a friend of mine. I'm enjoying PoP and I haven't started BioShock yet but I hear great things. I've also been playing Assassin's Creed on Xbox 360. It's getting repetative but it's pretty good.

Finally Getting Some Use Out of My DS

I just picked up The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for Nintendo DS and I can't put it down. It makes me feel like my purchase of the DS was worthwhile after all. I hadn't played my DS in forever, so this is a refreshing reminder that it is a good system. Expect a review of Phantom Hourglass in the near future. Also, if you have any great DS reccomendations, comment or pm me here. Peace.

Finally Got My Xbox Back From Repairs!!

Finally! I haven't had a chance to play yet, but I did get to customize my avatar and check out some of the NXE features. I have to say... I like it! Anyway, I'm back in action for 360 gaming, feel free to add me. Gamertag = A CRIPLED M4N.

Look Out for My Far Cry 2 Video Review!

If all goes according to plan, I will be writing, recording, editing, uploading, AND posting my first video review. It'll be different that a normal video review... just look out for it and you'll see the suprise! Anyway, I'll be reviewing Far Cry 2 (I know, a little late to the party), but I hope you'll enjoy.

See you tomorrow!

The Wishlist of Dreams 2008. (Note: Not My Wishlist)

You love lists... and you love wishes. So it's time for the Wishlist of 2008!

Games- The Ones You Want, and The Ones You NEED.

NEED:
Left 4 Dead- PC
Fallout 3- Xbox 360 or PC (I wouldn't reccommend this on PS3, I've heard bad things.)
Gears of War 2- Xbox 360
Crysis Warhead- PC

WANT:
Prince of Persia- Xbox 360 or PS3 (PC with gamepad)
Spore- PC
Far Cry 2- Multiplatform (Don't believe what everyone says, it is actually a pretty good game).
Chrono Trigger- DS
Skate It- Wii (NOTE: This game is for people who enjoy skateboarding in general).
Call of Duty: World at War- PC, Xbox 360, or PS3 (I reluctantly reccommend this game...)
Saints Row 2- Xbox 360
Grand Theft Auto IV- Xbox 360 or PS3 (again, I am reluctant to reccomend this game. It's not for everyone.)
Fable II- Xbox 360
Dead Space- Xbox 360
Rock Band 2- Multiplatform (More DLC + in game songs)
Guitar Hero: World Tour- Multiplatform (Better setlist than Rock Band 2 in game)

World of Goo- Wii or PC
De Blob- Wii
Crysis- PC
Okami- Wii
Super Smash Bros. Brawl- Wii (How could you have missed that?!)

I'm sure there are many more reccommendations I can give. This is a brief list of great games I quickly put together in case you may be stumped on what to get or ask for for your respective gift-giving holiday. Hope it helps, and let me know!

Is Gaming In It's Prime? Or Past It?

It would seem that gaming is in it's prime at this point. What with the amazing graphical capabilities, up and coming writers, and an ever growing audience. It would seem that gaming is on a B Line to the top of the entertainment industry. In fact it ALMOST is (next to pornography). Videogames are a multi-billion dollar a year industry, and the games have no end in sight. BUT is gaming in it's prime?

Gaming was booming in the 90's with quality titles, a huge, dedicated fan-base, and no economic recession. The games were made for fun, not for the profit of the companies producing them. Games were meant to be played over and over again. Online play played a small role compared to the awesomeness that was the "campaign." Of course there was online play, but it was not as advanced as it is today. All-in-all we could say the 90s were the best time for a gamer.... Right?

WRONG! Gaming is ever-growing, ever-changing, ever-learning! If anything this isn't the prime time, the prime time is yet to come! Gaming has NEVER been better than it is right now. To be honest, I can't see how the industry can continue topping itself. Which company will lay down the next trump card? What will the next big franchise be? Gaming couldn't get any better! Love it, live it, play it!

Left 4 Dead Demo Impressions

Let me start by saying... WOW.

When I first heard of Left 4 Dead I was less than excited to say the least.  But then I found out Valve, creator of such games as "Half-Life, Counterstrike, and Team Fortress," I was a little more enthused.  However, I've never been a big zombie shoot 'em up type of gamer.  And I thought I'd stay that way until I played the Left 4 Dead Demo.

The opening cinematic alone was enough to get me hooked, but then they top themselves by having one of the most intruguing gameplay systems I've ever seen.  If you don't already know, Left 4 Dead is a story about 4 people who survived a zombie apocalypse and must somehow survive an onslaught of those zombies attacking them.  This may sound simple and played out, but it really isn't.  The way it's done is so interesting that it's impossible to say that the game is dull.  You and your group MUST stick together in order to survive.  I emphasize the word "must" because it really is a necessary part of the game to stick together.

In the beginning of the demo level, in which you are trying to find your way to Mercy Hospital, you are able to choose from 4 different characters.  I chose Louis the first time around.  Then you are able to choose from a shotgun or a machine gun, you get a health pack and some ammo and your on your way.  Right off the bat you see some zombies, which are extremely well designed I might add, which lunge at you in an attempt to infect you.  Or even kill you.  You eventually get to the hospital after you kill hundreds of zombies.  Even a mini-boss is incorporated into the level.  The online is the same except with humans controlling the characters instead of AI.  It is quite satisfying either way.

This game is an unexpected jewel which I know I wont miss out on.  Will you be Left 4 Dead?!

This game comes out this Tuesday, November 18 in the U.S. for Xbox 360 and P.C. don't miss out on this spectacular game!

Check Out This Insanity!

I recently stumbled upon this site called Shoot The Core they have a bunch of cool Shmups. (shoot 'em ups). But one in particular that caught my eye was Ad Nauseum 2. Its insanely trippy, extremely fast paced, and harder than you may think. If you like a quick shmup when you're bored (or possibly high) this is it! Here's the link AD NAUSEUM 2. Check it out NOW!
