wiiu for 300 bucks? i wouldnt be surprized it they started that way but then pricing droppign it to 250 (kinda like a quick price drop like 3ds did). If so, the marginal gain for 50 bucks in many consumers minds would be justified..as in paying 50 bucks more for a 'new generation' percieved console. You can debate if wii u is a nextgen or not all you want, but a new product in the eyes of consumers will be a big 'pro'. So i think itll month by month outsell the xbox if its marketed right and if its only 250. If its 300 bucks...fans will buy it, and the general consumer population will hold off. This isnt to bad mouth the 360 (or ps3 or anything else)..its doing fantastic, its just nintendo products generally try to target and attract a specific demographic of a market (in which the demographic is actually quite large ie. families, children..most of the population is individuals under age 18). Its like apple, its initial demographic was hip, young, modern, elegant people (rather than businesses you used the old windows mobile and RIM services), however the demographic apple targets is quite large and it makes large sales, much like nintendo. Both ways, i consider a wii a supplement console. 'Gamers' will always get the powerhouse, however they may own a wii as well for their children or for games to reminese when they were younger (mario, zelda, etc.)..
time will tell.
