I am sure as heck ready for the next-gen. I'm tired of the consoles now. My PC kicks the butt out of the consoles but sadly, its held back by them since they rule in the videogame industry. I'm waiting for a next-gen so my PC can move foward and not keep sitting on its butt. I am tired of the current console's graphics. 30 fps at 720P on a console vs. 60+ fps and 1920x1200 on the PC?

Too bad 2 and 3 will probably never come to PC. I've been spoiled by Gear 1 running at 60fps on the PC, no compromises to make on that system! :)

Ever since the Xbox came out, MS has been hating the PC. Sadly, if I were them, I would also hate the PC.

I would want all gamers to come to my own console, where I can overcharge for accessories, charge for DLC and not allow mods, charge for playing online, etc. I have full control over all my customers, whereas MS doesn't with the PC.

No wonder their wet dream is to kill off PC gaming and get all PC gamers on their Xbox. : (

Nothing is concrete and black and white, especially in the gaming industry.

What about console gamers that say they'll boycott Activision and stop buying milked franchises but still froth over the latest Call of Duty trailer and continue to buy a new Guitar Hero and all the DLC songs for it?

What about 360/PS3 gamers who think the PC gamers are elitist while they themselves are elitist towards the Wii?

I like community created content AND consumer DLC. What I DON'T like is when greedy companies scrap out mod support so we are forced to only buy their DLC.

I simply wanted to know how PC fanboys can say that a PC is far superior to a console in every possible way considering the fact that not everyone knows or can be bothered to learn and build a PC.

Don't people say how a Lexus is superior to a Kia in every possible way (despite how more expensive a Lexus is to a Kia), for example? Or anything else for that matter. Since you are comparing every single metric, then nothing is superior to anything else in every, single possible way.

My opinion is GTA4. I love that game's engine, especially on the PC with a trainer tool.

PC gaming offers a unique experience nothing else can offer. It has its own entry barriers but also its own rewards for passing them. If you will not, or cannot handle it, go to consoles, simple as that really!

Consoles are already becoming like PCs, now with increasing failure rates, frequent software updates (PS3 at least), mandatory installation for games (PS3 mostly), etc. Let's see how more complex consoles become in the future. They want to emulate the good sides of the PC, they have to take the bad that goes with it as well. : )

I do believe it is and I am definitely aching for the next-gen consoles to come out, despite myself gaming on a PC. This is because unfortunately, the gaming industry moves with the consoles and despite the PC being far more powerful than the consoles now, it mostly gets console ports, the consoles hold it back. I'm ready for a next-gen so the PC doesn't have to keep tapping its feet!
