6. lilrj- I hardly ever understand what he says (:P), but you know, whatever. All I know is he's an awesome guy.

5. chillpill100- In every tourney we've both been in, it's always been he and I in the finals, and I've always won. Even though we have a heated rivalry, we're still buds.

4. Neo_Ike- If we all recall his personality test about him, you might remember some funny stuff. He was kind enough to forgive me. What a guy. He also likes just about every game I do, and vice versa.

3. darkgamingdude- My favorite little European friend on GS. :P He's just been a good friend ever since I met the guy, or dude.

2. Willy105- How can you hate this guy? He's awesome, and he can do just about anything with a computer.

1. kansasdude2009- We've been friends ever since I responded to his invitations to be an officer in NDU. We agree on just about everything too.

Honerable mentions- blackheart1889, FireEmblem_Man, Eponique, SuperMario_46 (I never see these guys enough...)

And finally, the bet. Eponique and I started this bet before SW bets started. We both sigged it for a bit, and people started to join. This is everybody who has joined so far. I'll need to go back and clean it up some, like remove people who are bannedor haven't been active for a while, but this is it.

"SSBB will outsell SMG. A bet to my fellow sheep.(Current takers: Eponique, Groudyogre, Goku-stream, marioraider, SonicBalla, Sants412)(Supporters: SmartOne5792, SuperMario_46, Sacred-Snow, irmeleeman5995, dangerflash, Eragont, ACDC19, Grodus5, AnFangs_Endes, big_mak123, MasterSwordXXX, jayjayd, pigfish2, the realapowers, OmegaAlchamist, murat8, DJ-Lafleur, chillpill100, Fire_EmblemFan, lilrj, IsaiahAllen, Neo_Ike)"

2007: Top 3 Disappointments and Surprises

07 was a great year in gaming and music (if you like newer music that is >_>) but what stood out? First, my biggest disappointments of 07.

Top 3 Disappointments of 07

3. July 11th -13th- The new E3. SO many promises left unpromised. So many games left unshown. So mant disappointed fans. How could the sequel to the biggest gaming event in history be such a crappy media event that you wanted to punch a baby at it's awfulness? How? E306 was amazing, and nobody could have been even discontent with it with the exception of Mr. Jack Thompson. E3 07, you have ruined the greatest event for gamers everywhere. Thanks a lot.

2. May 15th- Linkin Park's first album in 3 years was finally released. 3 years I had been waiting for my favorite's band new album. Well I was slapped in the face with 3 years of disappointment. All but two songs were actual Linkin Park songs, the rest were some of the softest rock songs ever to be burned onto a CD. When I think of Linkin Park, I think of hard guitar riffs and heavy lyrics. The two songs that were actually Linkin Park songs were great, and give me hope that they might still be able to fix their mistake with thier nex album. Please, don't screw the next one up.

1. October 10th- Possibly the darkest day in gaming if the generation. Super Smash Bros. Brawl was delayed. The most anticipated Wii game from just about every single person on the planet, delayed. Nintendo, how could you delay what might be the final instalment in your greatest franchise? You were supposed to be the chosen one! Then you take a chunk of salt and rub it in my wound by announcing Sonic on the same day. Out of all the characters you chose to be in the game, you pick... Sonic. Why? Because the fans wanted him in? The fans wanted voice chat and leaderboards too, but I don't see you adding those in. Thanks a lot Nintendo.

Top 3 Surprises of 07

3. Super Mario Galaxy being as good as it is. I did ever suspect that Super Mario Galaxy would be so amazing. I had thought that it would barely scrounge up a 9.0 from Gamespot and maybe get a 90% on gamerankings or something. Instead, the game did not recieve anything below a 9 from any credible site and stands proudly on the Number 2 spot on gamerankings.com.

2. The Wii selling so well. Absolutely nobody thought the Wii would sell as well as it is.Barely over a year old and it has sold almost 17 million units. I find this amazing.

1. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. After years of not playing any Pokemon games, I finally caved in and bought Pokemon Emerald on January 28th, the same day I acquired my Wii. I played Emerald for almost 3 months until Pokemon Diamond was released. I had no idea how great of a purchase this was for me. Over the span of two and a half months, I had over 200 hours of playtime, and I even started joining unions (PLU was the first, thanks to my bud heshemangirl). I had no idea one game, and a Pokemon game nontheless, could control my life so much.

What do you guys think? This is my personal list, so you don't have to agree.

Finally, some RPGs are coming for the Wii... (56k is fine)

So far, the Wii only has one good RPG that I know of, and that is Fire Emblem. But next year, the Wii is actually getting some RPGs, and they actually look promising. :o

Other known RPGs: Baroque (doesn't look very promising), Vision Red (I think that's what it's called), Baten Kaitos 3., Opoona

As an RPG nut, I'm glad there are finally some good lookcing RPGs coming.

Does anyone know of a good web-based game to play?

I'm talking about games like Runescape (not that though, it sucks). I don't want to have to download it, I just want to have something to do when the forums get boring. I've tried out a couple, but none that I really liked. I play a game called Tribal Wars, but it's in real time so I can let that go while I do other stuff.

Any suggestions?

New sig, and question about new avatar

Ok so I've got a new sig, as the title states. I made the Brawl Fest part with paint and I'm very pleased by it. The second pic is just a really cool looking pic from FE: Path of Radiance. All I did was resize it. :P

aa

Also, I need help deciding. I can't decide whether to use this new avatar or my current one.

New:a Current: The image

My only concern is that the new one might not fit... but it does look pretty cool. So... thoughts?

Also, we have a 2 hour delay so for today, that's why I'm able to post this. I'm hoping we get another closing. :P

Happy Gaming. :)

Brawl Fest officially dated (again) + Another Snow day

Yes that's right. NDU's Brawl Fest now has it's official date. It is set for March 17th, which is St. Patrick's Day. Don't know what Brawl Fest is? Click here. The date has been set is light of recent news regarding Europe's release date for Brawl. According to thisarticle, Europe will not be getting Brawl until after June.

Oh yeah, and we had another snow day today. Go us! :P

That's pretty much it.

Happy Gaming. :)

SNOW DAY!!! +Other stuff

Snow day, schools out. *Angelic chorus plays in the back ground*...................*Chorus ends* I did not think we would get school out today, mainly because our super intendant is an absolute assface. He doesn't even live in the county (county, not country). I'm glad he's quitting January because he almost never lets school out.

Anyway, schools out, and you know what that means... Fire Emblem time! I'll be playing Fre Emblem all day today, so I probably won't be doing anything on here. :P

In other news, I've created an account on Gametrailers.com (nintendofreak2 if you're curious(they don't allow underscores in names :|)). I won't be as active as I have been in recent times, but I'll still be posting in all my main unions and in System Wars as well. If any of you guys do go to Gametrailers, be sure to make a referral to my GT username so I can get some GTD. :P

I think I might go back to the doctor's office again to get my ankle checked out today. It's still swelling (as in it's not shrinking as it's supposed to be by now) and it is really starting to hurt from any movement. A couple days ago, I could hobble across a room without any pain at all. This snow day could be useful though, cause I can rest it up and do whatever.

Oh yeah, HAVE FUN AT SCHOOL/ WORK TODAY!!! :P

Happy Gaming. :)

It looks like there will be a mass migration...

because of you Jeff being fired. People are taking this out of proportion and jumping the gun a little bit. Gamespot forums will not be any different! If you guys want Jeff to be remembered, stay on Gamespot where he is actually respected and they can keep the site running, otherwise the rest of the GS crew will lose their jobs as well and GS may cease to exist. As for the migration, where the heck are you guys going to go? IGN? Gametrailers? Their forums are terrible, and of course the lack of System Wars doesn't help anything.

If you guys are so paranoid that CNet will continue to make money off of this, think again. All this act did was show how corruted the gaming community truly is; bribery for higher (or lower) review scores from developers. I'm sure that this is not the first offense, and that this has been going on a lot longer than we'd think. I wouldn't be surprised if all of your other sites have the same problems. CNet is likely to be sued sometime along the line, at least I can always hope so.

I've seen some people wanting to boycott Edios' games (K&L especially) so they'll go bankrupt. These days, that will not work. There is no way that a small comunity, even all of GS, could stop people from buying these games. It's just about impossible, not to mention that authorities would probably sqaush us back. We need to sit back and see what really happened first, before taking any rash actions.

That's my piece, sorry if there are a lot of typos, I just threw it together.
