well i'm 13 and i'm always coming 1st or second in matches.i havent came last ever.there may be alot of adults on cod4 mp but they sure are sh*t

if u have a modem or router then turn it off and the xbox.plug the xbox internet cable into the modem/router and turn it on.then turn the xbox on a few seconds later!if that dosent work try turning your computer on.hope that helps
