Im sorry but why is it that these type of threads always have a cow posting them. I mean it too at least 90% of the time in system wars cows feel the need to try and shoot down the 360. Why is that? I mean the PS3 cant possibly need this much help all the time from you guys? Sad.vaderhater

Because the PS3 obviously has fewer problems than the 360 and many people are still denying it. Just because my thread favors the PS3 doesn't mean I am biased. The PS3's problems are all going to improve. Most of the 360's problems will likely remain. This is not bias. It based on common sense and reasoning.

ps3's cpu is more powerful than 360's been known...but xbox360's gpu and cpu can both be used for physics unlike ps3 gpu.

xbox360's memory architecture is set up better allows devs more freedom with memory usage.

Most people agree that the PS3 is more poweful on paper. But let's not talk about theoretical power. Let's use common sense.

Why do you think Microsoft hasn't tried to compete with Sony in games with big bosses, big mulitiplayer shooters, and MMOs?

Theories and practical application are two very different things. You saying the PS3 is more powerful on paper and then allude to its "theoretical power", IE the hidden power developers keep talking about but none seem to be able to access, doesn't make much sense.

That is entirely up to developers to include gigantic bosses in their games, create huge multiplayer shooters and MMOs. Saying this is due to the Xbox 360 being "inferior" or even alluding to that is nothing more than speculation and your own personal assumptions.

Think a little , OK? Sony has been claiming all along that the PS3 is the most powerful console on the market. So it tries to make games that are big and technologically advanced: Big bosses, big mulitplayer shooters, most photorealisic, best animation, etc.

If it is up to the developers, then how come Microsoft's developers are not making games that can compete with Sony in those areas? It's not that Microsoft's developers are stupid. It's because no matter how smart they are, the can't make the 360 compete with the PS3 in the "BIG" and most technologically advanced games. I don't udnerstand why people here keep saying it's the developers and and not the console power that is responsible for technnolgical impressiveness. How many more games will the PS3 produce that is more technoglically impressive than any 360 games out there before everyone admits the PS3 is indeed more powerful?

burnout developers are known fanboy...the game doesnt look better on ps3....they just turned on anisotropic filtering on ps3 aka texture filtering and left it off on xbox360 to make ps3 seem better..

grand theft auto has a better draw distance on 360.

I'll take IGN's words over yours, thanks. Don't forget quicker load times on the PS3 as well.

i know more about gaming/hardware/software than those tards ever will.

burnout developers are known sony fanboys.

Start your own gaming website then.

Sure, coolness is subjective. So is voting for the presidency. When it's all said and done, though, more people will vote for Obama than McCain or vice versa. Same with coolness. More peole think 360 or PS3 or Wii as the coolest or the least cool. I strongly believe that most people think that the 360 is the least cool, even though coolness is subjective.

So you're basing coolness off of how many units are sold for each system? Meaning Wii > PS3> Xbox 360?

I listed 3:

Really, though, the 360 is losing its cool because of 3 reasons:

a. It is the most unreliable console to own.

b. It is the wost selling console each month.

c. It is less technologically advanced than the PS3.

For a liberal analysis of both consoles, every point for the PS3 seems to lead to positive anaylsis while the opposite is true for the 360. Burnsmiesta

It is true, though. Whatever problems the PS3 has, they can be improved with time. The problems with the 360 are bound to an inferior hardware and to Microsoft's need to monetize LIVE. So the 360's problems are hard to solve.

[QUOTE="gamefreakomega"]What kind of responses are you expecting?Kickinurass

I just feel like listing all the problems the PS3 and the 360 has, and be fair about them both. I might not sound fair, but as much as I try, the 360 really does have more problems than the PS3. On top of that, the PS3 seems to be able reduce its problems over time.

If anyone knows of other PS3's major problems that I didn't list, I am more than willing to add to my list to make it fair.

But some of the reasons you listed for the 360 are just plain weak. Number 10 in particular stands out because it's your personal opinion and speculation, though I could list all the fallacies in your argument if you want.

I know its my opinion. But if you are objective enough about what is "cool", then you have to see that the 360 is not as cool as it was used to be. In fact, how can anyone make a good case that the 360 is cooler thant the PS3 or the Wii over all?

That's a large contradiction. The word "cool" is inherently subjective; One could find comic books and text-based roleplaying games cool. Obviously, others don't. You can't say that the 360 isn't cool and apply it to everyone. Not to mention you just stated it was our opinion...

Also, I could say the PS3 is very uncool because it has yet to interest me as a gamer. Hence why I have not bought one.
