So i guess this confirms the next playstation wont be priced too high. good new for me

Zophar87

Yeah, because they didn't just release some overpriced hardware a few months ago! :lol:

Actually people were praising the 250 price point while the 3ds was priced at 250. Nintendo undercut them by slashing the price and all of a sudden people were calling it overpriced.

Maturity level? Attacking sales figures based on more theory than fact. People implying the amount of consumers who didn't take advantage of the extended warranty was so significant that it had a major affect on overall sales.

Exactly how seriously do you think this is going to be taken?

WilliamRLBaker

I feel it's a valid argument. Since when does an argument being considered valid or not equate to being mature. You think I'm wrong. That's fine it has nothing to do with being mature or not about it. However the adult going "but but but but but but but but but" is very immature.

I'm simply highlighting what charlie sheens like you continually do there is always a but. the 360 has more world wide sales then the ps3...but the 360 had a failure rate higher then the ps3..thus the ps3 actually has more real sales cause all the sales for the 360 were rebuys. charlie sheens like you have to make up rules all the time and this is just another scenario. To even come up with an argument that some how any meaningful amount of systems were rebuys because of rrod or e74 is stupid because its stupid I will treat you like the moron you are. Same for tormentos which is worse then a moron.

Okay that's fine no more buts. 360 has more overall sales then ps3 finishing 2nd this gen, while ps3 has better sales against time on the market. Just facts no buts. Can you handle that or do you have a but of your own to add?

[QUOTE="kingtito"] Yeah yeah cows keep claiming the 360 is more expansive yet it still sold more 6 years later when the PS3 was supposed to destroy the 360 at launch. Not to mention cows love to use the $600 price tad as the blame for the slow sales. So what is it, the 360 is more expensive or the PS3 is? Can't have it both ways. Don't blame the late start for being in last. That was Sony's decision, arogant as it was, and noone elses. They chose to come out a year later and they chose to give a $600 price tag. Since you want to play the "IF" game IF Japan bought 360's the lead would be insurmountable, not that they will be caught now. IF the 360 didn't have the RROD fiasco they'd probably be ahead of Nintendo (that's a big if) or it would be very close. Don't give excuses for Sony being in last, just accept it and move on. No point in blind loaylty to a company that really doesn't care about you one way or another other than to get what's in your wallet. kingtito

360 is more expensive in the long run but just looking at them at launch it seemed cheaper. And LOL, if anything RROD made xbox sales INFLATED then what they should be. People bought 2 or 3 extra consoles because of that fiasco. Without RROD ps3 prob would be ahead lol. And I'm sorry you can't except the facts. It's not an excuse, it is a FACT that the ps3 has outsold 360 if you look at sales against time on the market. ps3 almost 6 full years 360 almost 7. Theres only a 2 million gap so its easy to see 360 would be last. its not a what if game, its a fact.

Please you have no proof people bought 2 or 3 360s when there was a warranty available. Hell I exchange 3 360s using the warranty. If you're going to use the RROD saying it infated sales then PS3 as a BR player infated sales dramatically as well as the all those failed BR drives. I know my BR drive failed with NO warranty so I ended up buying more than 1 PS3. Guess those PS3 sales numbers are inflated. The gap isn't 2 million it's more like 3-4 million.

Actually the gap is 2 million. Not sure where you are getting 4. Either way Microsoft in it's second generation has yet to taste victory in a console gen. Came in 2nd twice in a row. It has been dominated by another console 2 gens in a row now.

[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"] but but but but but but no one ever in the history of the 360 took advantage of the 3 year replacement policy on rrod and e74 all of them went out and purchased new 360's...Are you next going to claim that over 50% of 360 purchases were repurchases like some charlie sheens in this thread have claimed like the mortally stupid dip heads they are? *mortally stupid As in they likely have to live on life support because they are so brain dead they cannot eat or breath on their own*HalcyonScarlet

Guess that answeres my question about the stuttering. The maturity level sure is low around here can't even have a civil conversation like an adult. I didn't say no one took advantage of the program. I was simply saying not EVERYONE took advantage of the program. You seem to have a reading comprehension problem. Quit twisting my words to fit what you wish they said.

Do you have a stuttering problem?? Don't pretend like everyone went through Microsoft to repair the system for free. Plenty of people just went out and bought new systems either because they did not want to wait for it to be fixed or because it was out of warranty.

I also paid $599 for my 60GB i have no regrets either. vincent380

agreed. For the people who actually looked at the bigger picture at launch they would have seen that the ps3 would be cheaper in the long run. 360 launch users with live have now paid more than ps3 launch users.

[QUOTE="Nengo_Flow"] you paid 599 US Dollars for a PS3? lol damn bro, I feel sorry for you sonkingtito

People who bought xbox at launch for 400 with a live subscription since then have paid 650 dollars to date, more then a launch ps3. So in the end buying ps3 at launch and playing online was cheaper than buying a 360 at launch with playing online. Gotta look at the big picture ;) and btw on this topic in general, if ps3 and 360 came out at the same time and not a year difference 360 would be in last place right now.

[QUOTE="GamerwillzPS"]

The thing is, if Sony tried to keep the launch price down, there wouldn't be Blu-ray. Our exclusives would have been different and inferior like the 360.

I expect the PS4 to be priced reasonably as Blu-ray have been around for a while, so the price for the drive won't be as high.

I spent the launch price, and I have to say it was worth it. It's one hell of a console!

[QUOTE="worlock77"]

[QUOTE="Spellingiscool"] Pretty sure that it is him. Sounds like Ray Liotta to mebrownpriderider

I dunno, Tommy's gotta be pretty old by this point. Considering his mid-80's heyday (and the fact that he'd been in prison since the early 70s then) he's gotta be in his 60s by now. not that isn't possible to be doing that kind of stuff at that age, but I don't see Rockstar going with a protagonist that old.

yea but remember, san andreas was set in the early 90's, im sure they're following that timeline

If you look at the trailer it looks to be modern not early 90's. Just look at the cars. Also, IGN confirmed it was not Ray Liotta's voice in the trailer
