Are you really not excited about playing this game? Why?

I have a high end pc, and I am excited.

ButtonBacon

It has nice graphics.

But the gameplay is something I've seen a millions times.

The gameplay for 95% of console shooters has also been seen a million times. And many of the hyped console games are shooters.

Just because we own only consoles doesn't mean that non-console games don't interest us. I think Crysis looks like a good game, as well as several other PC games. Whether or not I'll ever play them since I own only consoles is a different matter entirely.

Xbox Live is certainly one of the 360's biggest selling points (probably THE biggest), but it's not a horrible console without it.

I'd like to know who that developer is. I don't trust developers ofbig titles for any console. Ninja Theory and Factor 5 had nothing but praise for the PS3.

Target the Wii's audiance as well as the hardcore gamer. cakeorrdeath

The Wii has an established userbase for that type of game already. It's cheaper to develop for, and there's already an audience for "casual games" on the system. I don't see the other two being able to capture the Wii's audience. After all, why would developers take the time to make a casual game on the 360 or PS3? It's more costly, and it's more risky than if you put it on the Wii. The only games that would go to that audience on those consoles will most likely be first-party games. And unless Sony or Microsoft decides to make stealing the Wii's audience their #1 priority, I don't see those games being numerous enough to gain that audience.

The motion sensing is also a big selling point. The 360 doesn't have it, and quite honestly the PS3's is a joke. Games like Wii Sports can be obscenely simple with motion sensing. Then there's the price point, too. The other consoles are bigger, more powerful, and therefore more expensive. Unless Nintendo decides to be extremely arrogant (and they are actually showing signs of that; just look at their constant rambling about sales at E3), I don't think they'll risk other consoles becoming substantially cheaper than the Wii.

Again, unless Sony or Microsoft becomes hell-bent on getting the Wii's audience I don't see them being albe to do it.

For those of you asking where it will be hosted:

At this time, the only place right now is GameSpot, in blogs. My blogs, your blogs, and possibly several forums. If you guys have ideas as to where else it could go or have somewhere to host it, I'd like to hear it. The idea is to spread it around as much as possible. GameSpot has quite a few people, so it will most likely get noticed here should it be placed in your guys' blogs, assuming of course that you have people who reply to your blog posts.

Would it be possible to host this on GUFUnation.com? It would make more sense than spread across a number of blogs.Hoffgod

No offense to GUFUnation or its writers, but Thumbstick Syndrome would probably get more exposure being posted in various blogs and in the forums.

Track this profile(SyndromeMag) if you really want to do this. The profile is created to better keep track of contributors and to keep the magazine (for the most part) seperate from this profile.
