"Age of Heroes" is likely a reference to Hesiod and the five ages of man: Golden, Silver, Bronze, Heroic, and (then-current) Iron. The Heroic Age is identified as the time of the great heroes of Greek mythology. Greek mythology is kind of a little bit of a theme with Wonder Woman, in case you hadn't noticed.
